Ups & Downs at UBa, Officials Under: Surveillance for Bad Morality Reports *Divine Mercy, mediation & Intervention is the much expected wish of the people
“From the general look of things today, without mincing words at the University for the future one might be tempted or caused to think that all is apparently for sell at the University of Bamenda in the North West Region where excellence\ meritocracy should be promoted and not mediocre or block heads from well to do homes”
Laments, a cross section of the population from the North West extraction who are already envying south westerners and the way their ENSET Kumba is functioning with all degree of fairness and transparency. We are here referring to most especially parents who have in no distance time seen the hope of cheap access to Higher Educational training for their children dashed to the wall.
This is after coughing out severally large sums for their children to seat for competitive entrances or compile dossiers for recruitment at UBa with no convincing results and are more than the word frustrated with what next to do given that the various institutions are now only offering placement to children from well to do families and matriculated civil servants or teachers who crook their ways in to graduate and embrace more lucrative positions in the economy.
This are the varying situation at the University of Bamenda termed for the future which is marring, frustrating and humiliating to the future of young ambitious Cameroonian most especially those intelligent ones who come from poor homes, entrusted in the hands of Nigerian Gurus who understand no other language than mafia.
The present management and ordinance does not suit the purpose for which the University was created, reasons why from creation the institution has been rocked countless times by strike actions.
As parents are lamenting on the impartiality practiced up there in Bambili by some wayward “Key Position holders”, some private candidates are complaining of high fees, contractors vexed by unpaid outstanding bills, job seekers crossed with the way recruitments are been done, uninstalled appointed officials bitter with the system that is violating and disrespecting the same Presidential decree that appointed them etc.
The open provocative style of recruitment based on family lining has caused the whole place to be crowded or infested by relations as each “Big Man” brings in his own relation and makes it only possible for their relations to have access to what so ever lucrative post in the University.
The big question is, was that why Biya offered and created the University of Bamenda? That it should be “some people’s show”? On the occasion of the celebration of 50th anniversary of the armed forces in Bamnda, is the doubt cast on every wagging tongue around with worrisome looks and discontempt saying “it is really unfortunate for North Westerners to have an Anglo-Saxon University flooded with daughters and sons of rich Francophone Generals, Colonels, Directors, sectary of states etc”
Worst of it all, the institution like a village provision store is run based on gossips and managed haphazardly irrespective of “Big Professors” there in “hen pecked and cannot cough” because the “Patrong” does only what pleases him and suits the interest of those who see in line with him or termed one of those hired detractors to destabilize his government.
What is more, parents are also growing mad with the way some lecturers most especially the Nigerian breed of Cameroonian lecturers play around with their daughters from one hotel to another “Changing them like pants” for marks certainly! What a deploring and a dilapidating situation, nauseating of course!
That not also being enough, the outright tree felling on campus, has sparked a lot of quarrel and reactions as to why sheds or better still trees much needed now are been felled on Campus.
The scandalous ways at which building are being erected within the University with no structured plan has come to rain a series of abuses on the Minister of Higher Education for appointing officials and not closely monitor and supervise their actions.
Blames and complains are what has been accompanying the system as those in power, even tired of the criticism pray, they should “come and take the thing” may be that is why all is done here with impunity, reluctance and insouciance.
Only God will have to judge every one for actions against humanity, posterity is also there to access those “Big Key Position holders” who have openly sold their consciences for money and will prefer cash to excellence or meritorious candidates from sick and poor backgrounds. As they pretentiously move around claiming to be honest while intellectually sick and dishonest, yet parades corridors of churches as exemplary Christians.
“Saah” search your hearts and consciences for what shall it benefit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul in hell, kingdom come is at hand end time is around repent and adjust before it is too late.

Cameroonians Worried Over Delayed New Gov’t! Operation Sparrow Hawk Precipitates New Government this November 2014 as it is the Tradition with Biya, Presumably Blocked by thieving Ministers. After Mendo Ze s Dose in Kondengui, Minister Atanji Paul Before the Special Criminal Court Today Tuesday 18, 2014, Prof Ngolle Ngolle Elvis Obviously waiting his turn this week end As PM Yang Sleeps with Fingers Crossed of the Obvious Bomb Blast which is Pending
The Cameroon’s cabinet reshuffle which was expected after the 2013 twin elections and is yet to materialize has become a worrying issue to Cameroonians. This delay has provoked suspicions and gossips amongst the Cameroonians which was finally laid to rest on Wednesday 13 November 2014 by the bomb shell declaration on National Media which earmarked quite a good number for sparrow hawk’s dragnet heading the list the once known to be untouchable Gervais Mendoze former General Manager of the CRTV.
Some newspapers have gone as far as carrying articles base on speculations and insinuating that the delay or forgotten cabinet reshuffle is not unconnected to black magic stage managed by the Ministers who are afraid of replacement and who had soiled hands.
Other papers think that President Paul Biya is afraid of making any changes which could lead to a coup d’etat. Yet others think that if Biya is unable to change the cabinet, it is because he is too old and consequently very forgetful, otherwise why should he time without number, be accusing his government of inertia yet unable to reshuffle the cabinet and bring in new blood to continue to pilot the ship of the Nation.
Other political pundits, who have talked to World Echoes, intimated that the government of Cameroon like any other French colony is being determined by the Colonial Master France and so President Paul Biya’s silences over government shake up should be as a result delay in recommendation or instructions from France.
But other analyst have it that President Paul Biya is unpredictable and always want to create surprises and could reshuffle the government when least expected.
Special Health Focus!North West, West Striking Hermodialysis Patients heave sigh of Relief as: Dr Kinge Thompson Assures them of New Dialyses Machines
The Director of the Bamenda General Hospital, Dr Kinge Thompson Njie, has disclosed that the Minister of Public Health Andre Mama Fouda, has promised to bring in new dialyses machines to replace the worn out machines.
Talking to the Press last week 12th November 2014, after the seat down strike staged and orchestrated around finance junction in Bamenda blocking traffic by dialyses patients sick of a combination of diseases caused as a result of Kidney failure and needs only dialyses machines for system recycling, Dr Kinge said that the hermodialyses centre which was created since 2009 by the Head of State, President Paul Biya, to serve North West and West Regions has eight machines six of which have gone bad because of almost expired lifespan and has been repaired several times. He regretted that only two of the machines were now serving a total of 63 patients of the centre.
Dr Kinge Thompson Njie said the Minister of Public Health has listened to the cries of the patients and the hospital officials and has promised to procure brand new machines. He noted that without the machines, the 63 patients who can only relieve themselves with the help of the hermodialyses machines will be in problem or have their health situation more complicated. “I should confirm that some of the patients are dying because of poor health conducts and because some of the cases are identified late, generally, dialyses patients live with very complex and unpredictable health situation, which is the more reason why they die”.
He said the centre is not only serving North West and west given that they receive calls from France, Britain, and America in Cameroon from patients who indicate interest to under take treatment in Bamenda when they reach the country.
Although the Director holds meetings with the Patients and technicians of the hermodialyses centre, he told this reporter that he has held several meetings too with government who is working very hard to replace the machines as soon as possible with brand new ones since the others have outlived their value. “I think we should all start by appreciating the Head of State, President Paul Biya, for his gesture. Before he gave the centre patients who suffered from kidney failure or problems before the centre was opened certainly died” he said with only two machines, working at the centre this time, they have ensured that two to three hours of dialyses a week will permit the ageing machines to work and have resting hours for sustainability, especially as the engineers have advised that the machines be given four hours of work daily so health also can be guaranteed.
With the presence of the Centre, each patient receive two sessions of dialyses weekly and each session is 5000frs meaning that each patient pays 10,000 frs a week.
But the Director who was thankful to the Head of State, said, “if the centre was not created and treatments subsidized, it would have cost a patient with kidney failure over 100,000frs to have treatment” beside the Head of State’s “Special Gift” to the North West Region, Dr Kinge added that an imagery centre which has already been constructed and equipped at the Bamenda Regional Hospital will soon be inaugurated.
Dr Kinge’s expectations, harping on his visions, the Director disclosed that they have done a five years situational study and analysis development plan for the hospital indicating that the medical institution needs new buildings for emergencies, new administrative blocks, and the tarring of the entrance and hospital frontage. “we equally desperately need more medical doctors, specialists and general practitioners including generators to serve the hermodialyses centre and imagery centre” he said, they have already renovated the mortuary, repaired the chambers for the preservations of corpse and renovated the mortuary chapel for mourners to organize funeral services for their love ones, given that his intension is to make Bamenda Regional Hospital one of the Best in the Country
The Fall of Great Media Icon: Sama Steve Cameroon Post Publisher is No More! Sama Stephen Licey Alias Sama .L Steve is no More but Lives on and in the Hearts of the Licey’s forever.
Sama suffered the prejudice and subjection that finally called him to eternity for six years. Sick first from a strange bike notorious and nasty scene at the City Chemist round about one evening with Michael Ndi presently Guardian Post’s North West Bureau Chief where he had his left leg broken, laid down on crouches for several months and later back to his heels. “That was when he bought a red car and had to severally visit Yaounde on counts that he defamed on one North West renown Fon who is supposed to have even threatened his life for frank reporting”.
Six months after, was brought down by a leg surgery on the same leg and was in bed again for some months, later referred to the “E” Ward at the Bamenda general Hospital where, he saw many giving up the ghost and wandered aloud to my hearing whether God will spare his life with all what he is was witnessing. At the end, he survived the situation and God truly spared his life.
He came back to life and followed President Paul Biya’s 2011 Presidential Election “I remember a famous Political deal he had with Chick Marcus of Njinibie and Adamu Musa North West Campaign team communication officer” that took him to Nkambe, Kumbo, Ndop where he had a short stay with the brother who is the Sub-Delegate of agriculture, to Bambui where he met me and back to Bamenda very strong when he dropped sick. This was after a political adventure to Balikumbat and back to Bamunka centre where we spend the evening joyously “I fondly remember, which we always laugh at even before his departure”.
“I also remember a trip he made to Yaounde came back just to fall sick again and was diagnosed having complicated kidney problems. Since then, he has been bed ridden and on routine moves to the dialyses centre where every week a good chunk of his family entitlements went to sustain life with major support from some considerate and kind elite (to whom on behalf of the family I extend abundant regards for their support). Spending almost every week the sum of ten to twenty five thousands francs for four years and finally lost his sight three weeks to his passing on to glory on the night breaking Thursday 13 November 2014.
Sama leaves behind an anguish wife Che Anne, his beloved son Sama Clinton and a fellow friend Roland in whom he was well pleased.
As he lives on to eternity, the entire Press family mourns and groans his departure at 46 on a Wednesday termed a “black one for CRTV” that came with the arrest of the former CRTV General Manager Gervais Mendoze on embezzlement charges.

Population invite the International Human Rights Commission to come to the Rescue\Aid\support of Mayor Tanjong Martin of Tubah Council subjected to Gross Human Rights Abuses from SDF Hierarchy for being Democratic and Transparent
These inhuman actions or comportments towards the first Vanguard cum District Chairman of the SDF Party militating there in since creation (1990) owes origin from the 30th of September 2013 when Mayor Tanjong Martin Mushungong of the SDF (Social Democratic Front) Party extraction and 35 other Councilors challenged the decision of the investiture that invested on his predecessor to their dislike, by overwhelmingly voting Tanjong Martin Mushungong as Mayor of Tubah Council in a free, fair, impartial and democratic election after the twin Municipal and Legislative elections in Cameroon at the Tubah Council Hall. For this symbolic action of going for and by the decisions of the ballot and earning his honest due term of office, he has known no peace from the hands of the Chieftain of the SDF Ni John Fru Ndi, the Provincial Chairman of the Party Njong Evaristus and others who regarded his actions to be disrespectful even though democratic.
From open confrontation, to blackmail, excitement and instigations has Mayor Tanjong suffered in the hands of detractors within the party for preaching, practicing and exercising his civic rights as a citizen through naked and plain democracy, transparent management, assessment, evaluation and accountability to electorate.
Today, because his predecessor has been incarcerated for alleged misappropriation of Council funds by the administration, the party SDF where he was long termed excluded standing for Justice and equal opportunity, which is what the party preaches, wants his head at all cost.
This is to the surprise of electorate who thought that the party which is for the people should be for the people and granting equal opportunities to all according to their maxim? Rather, is out to sell collective interests for private interest.
The stigma and threats has reached the level of open witch hunting and blackmail to the glaring notice of the North West Population who see the strength of democracy been tempered with by the very “Big crusaders for” in the early 90s for selfish interest, reasons why with major dismay, sympathizers invite the International Human Rights commission to intervene and probe into the matter squarely so that democracy can be secured for the social welfare of the Cameroonian Population.
