Fellow Cameroonians, we must all realize
that only those that the gods want to destroy, that are rendered mad. Even the
mad have the urge to protect lives and properties for accountabilityto
posterity. The cradles of true opposition, Yes, but is it acceptable anywhere
in the world, that opposition should be the tool for destruction instead of
nation building? I will like someone to challenge me by letting me notice a
single new building block of wisdom that since 1990 till date has been placed
on the socio - economic and political wall of our country. Rather we have had
true opposition, just to breed terrorism that can never be comfortable for the
growth of a nation. The cradles of opposition yesterday are today the cradles
of terrorism and the leaders havegone into their comfortable nests stocked rich
at the detriment of our nation that is in dire need of socio - economic and
political growth. What a sad end to a hopeless struggle since 1990 till date?
At such a crucial moment that two
Regions of our country are bedrocks of anti - development, I will love us to
know that other regions came to their senses of understanding that it is only
in an atmosphere of peace that there can be the promotion of economic growth.
In the two Regions of the Anglophone zone, people are dying and properties are
being destroyed with no vision as the destiny of those to be left behind by the
grace of God.Hard Core, Union for change, Social Democratic Front, Cameroon
Anglophone Movement, All Anglophone Conference, Southern Cameroon National
Conference and today we can talk of the great Ambazonia, were they not out and are
they not out to build terrorism that will squander our economy in the interest
of the Diaspora? Let our children in the bushes lay down their weapons and come
out to talk peace, because it is the only commodity that can yield some sound dividend
for a Cameroon that carries that name in Africa and the world. We should not
deceive ourselves that since 1990 till date, any of them had a vision that
could have avoided the present situation. The fact is that the young who have
gone into the bushes are just victims of circumstances and that is why the need
stands strong for them to lay - down arms, forgive each other in the interest
of togetherness, because the more the continent of Africa goes fragmented, the
better it is exploited by the Diaspora. No matter how poor your father is at
doing, you cannot succeed him until you are successful. You can kill and
destroy, but at the end of the journey, it shall be a question of no victor and
no vanquish. Where you would have gone ahead with economic growth, you shall be
going to talk about rehabilitation and that stands the work of greed that goes
before a fall. Let's not take our little resources to fight a civil war. let us
take it to improve on our economy, where we find it necessary.
We should stand at the fact that
wars are encouraged by people whose minds are covered with greed and never will
see that every coin has two faces. Where our father went wrong, we can ahead
see where he went right and continue the building process from where he
stopped. That will be rational enough than taking to terrorism to kill and
destroy ourselves.
What
is the present situation all about and what are we seeing ahead as a vision for
the health of our nation? Looking at the limping horses standing as
Presidential candidates of 7th 0ctober,2018, do we not think it is better for
our children to come out of bushes and give Paul Biya another mandate to
thereafter solve the problems that turned out creating unsavory fraternity,
epitomized by surreptitious and overt dislike of brotherhood that has made
children take to the bushes aiming at killing their fellow countrymen and
bringing nothing to their nation that is admired by other nations of Africa and
the world. We agree with our children that the socio - economic and political
atmosphere became so rough for them to bear, but the present hostility is only
going to let our country join other laughing stocks of nations in Africa. From
1960 till present day, terrorism in Cameroon has not been a solution to the
political quagmire. The young of today are finding it difficult to extract
themselves and have rather taken to the bush like their fathers of post -
independence era. That cannot be the solution at all. As terrorism was not the
solution to the political quagmire of the post - independent days, it cannot be
of today. We have just to come out and sit facing each other and come out with
the solutions to our political quagmire. In this spirit we shall be proud to
leave a Cameroon better than we met it. The fact remains that our children can
do a lot to please their state of annoyance, but the problems remain to be
solved amicably as citizens out to leave their nation better than they met it
and will continue to foster its growth to the pride of posterity. All our
problems have been out of ignorance and the slippery path we have passed
through, has given us the opportunity on how much we could now understand
ourselves for our usual peace and unity that the entire world so admire. The
Anglophones begged terrorists to come out of their bushes and cooperate with
Ahidjo in building Cameroon. We are also today begging our boys of the
Ambazonia to also come out of their bushes and cooperate by voting Paul Biya on
the 7th of October 2018, so that there can be continuity in the building
process of our nation. Terrorism and civil war is a period of destruction and
not to build. There should be no terrorism, no civil war because these
beautiful nation will be shattered to everyone's sorrow. May God Almighty hear
our cry at this crooked moment and grant us His Grace of Peace. May He soften
the hearts of our children and bring them out of the bushes that we can all
join our hands in building this great nation rather than destroying the little
that God out of His grace has given us. To our children in the bushes, God is
saying something, "Cameroon my chosen people, I will not allow you plunge
into war, only if you can listen to my call", God is tenderly requesting
our children to be out of the bushes and come to listen to his divine call for
a dialogue that he can open at his will, only in an atmosphere of peace.
"I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the sacred and sure
blessings that I promised to David". - Acts 15:34.
MAY GOD BLESS CAMEROON.
