Cameroon Gov't's attempt to "Ease Life" Amidst COVID-19 Containment Sparks Tension and Confusion in a Wave of Uncertainty

Cameroon Gov't's attempt to "Ease Life" Amidst COVID-19 Containment Sparks Tension and Confusion in a Wave of Uncertainty
Upliftment of temporal lockdown & Restrained movt by Cameroon Gov't to revive dormant Economy now a Call for serious concern

This write up is inspired by the Marseille pandemic of 1720 that  killed over 50000 out 90000 citizens because French Businessmen and Government mudgauged collective welfare for individual interest in other words Business, economy and benefits to livelihood,. It is also motivated by the mark degree of contradiction and confusion going on in Cameroon with regards the COVID-19 pandemic and containment measures. How do we explain that COVID-19 cases in Cameroon has been increasing exponentially all this days to the tune of over 1800 cases and the government is ironically laying so much concern rather on economic interest than human lives which are at stake.
Common knowledge has it that once an individual is freed from bandage, he is tempted to get excited and may even pass out as a result of excess jubilation and excitement.
The Cameroon situation of government's review measures yesterday of temporal ban or restraining measures to contain the COVID-19 virus pushed quite a good number of the population into excesses, as bars were characterised by heavy drinking and excitement. Yesterday's pictures after government adjusted stringent measures to ease social interaction and mov't rather pushed the population into more vulgar acts and so telling behaviours an indication that no lessons were learnt by the population during this period of strict containment and if truely Corona was in Cameroon as it was amplified, yesterday's declaration by the PM from the People's behavior, the rate of infection would have multiplied by 1000.
Who is fooling who? Is the big question, according to Government all is under control, but self deciplin is another problem. If only if govt could remember the pains she took to temporarily hault certain activities and restrain social gatherings, then they will accept with this analyst that all is not under control. Except otherwise as speculation holds that there was a game of figures going on and actions were purely tailored towards justifying something or making a defense to gain an award.
Let me hold it there and ask some curious questions, have "we" (I mean all of us) finished treating all infected cases?, hope feasibility studies also adopted plan "B" should in case the decision turn things to the worst. What about a cure to the virus and vaccines? Has Cameroon been entirely disinfected?, Who is taking advantage of Corona virus and has taken advantage of to gain what? Now we are entering the crooks of the matter and time demands that a clear balance sheet or bilan be made or given on how the billions COVID-19 virus generated as income to the Cameroon Government was properly used or squandered.
Permit me rest my case here for now, as my ink may cause me to devourge and cause the President, H.E Paul Biya to launch a Special "operation sparrow hawk" on how COVID-19 funds are been managed.
As we are also tempted to push on with our whistle blowing campaign from the provocative and questionable ways funds are been managed.
As we end this analysis, Cameroon Ministers under the supreme leardership of the Prime Minister Chief Dr Dion Ngute, just handed another juicy envelop to the Minister of health which is coming from a join contribution made to fight Corona virus.

Biya Pass Relief Measures to Ease Life Amidst Containment and Spread of Corona Virus

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As part of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, on 17 March 2020, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, prescribed thirteen (13) measures to limit and control the spread of this pandemic in our country.
On 9 April, additional measures were prescribed, including the compulsory wearing of protective masks in all areas open to the public.
Given the rate at which this pandemic was spreading in our country, the President of the Republic, on two occasions, extended the restrictive measures taken on 17 March and 9 April 2020, for a renewable period of fifteen (15) days.
Although these measures are difficult, they are necessary to ensure the protection of all, and to limit the spread of COVD-19 in our country.
These measures have created economic and social distortions whose effects are being felt in several areas of activity.
The most concerned are undoubtedly the transport, hotel, and catering sectors, in short, trade in general.
Faced with this situation, the Head of State instructed the Government to conduct a study to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the national economy, and to determine the accompanying measures to be implemented to support sectors in difficulty, as well as households that are most in need.
To implement this instruction, the study was carried out following a participatory approach, in conjunction with the private sector and technical and financial partners.
In addition, weekly meetings to evaluate the implementation of the COVID-19 response strategy have revealed that the actions taken by the Government to contain this pandemic are beginning to bear fruit.
Although screening tests reveal new cases of corona virus-positive patients, the number of people declared healed of this disease in our country has been on the rise.
Furthermore, the mortality rate from this virus remains low, compared to the number of positive cases.
Considering the encouraging results observed in the implementation of the COVID-19 response strategy in Cameroon, and the conclusions of the study on the socio-economic impact of this pandemic on our economy, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, has just decided the following easing and support measures, in order to relieve the sectors hard hit by this health crisis:
1. the opening after 6 p.m. of bars, restaurants and leisure facilities, with the obligation for customers and users to respect barrier measures, in particular the wearing of protective masks and social distancing;
2. the lifting of the measure reducing the mandatory number of passengers in all public transport by bus and taxi. The wearing of masks remains compulsory and overloading is prohibited;
3. the suspension for the second quarter of 2020 of general accounting audits, except in cases of suspected tax evasion;
4. the postponement of the deadline for filing Statistical and Tax Declarations, without penalties in case of payment of the corresponding balance;
5. the granting of moratoria and deferrals of payment to companies directly affected by the crisis, hence, suspending forced recovery measures against them;
6. supporting the finances of companies through the allocation of a special envelope of CFAF 25 billion for the clearance of stocks of VAT credits awaiting reimbursement;
7. the postponement of the deadline to pay land taxes for the 2020 financial year, to 30 September 2020;
8. full deductibility to determine the corporate income tax of donations and gifts made by companies for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic;
9. the exemption from the Tourist Tax in the hotel and catering sectors for the rest of the 2020 financial year, as from March;
10. exemption from the withholding tax and from parking fees for taxis and motorbikes, as well as from the axle tax for the 2nd quarter. This measure could be extended to the rest of 2020;
11. exemption for the second quarter from the withholding tax and council taxes (market duty, etc.) for petty traders (bayam sellam);
12. the temporary suspension for a period of three months of the payment of parking and demurrage charges in the Douala and Kribi ports for essential goods;
13. the establishment of a MINFI-MINEPAT consultation framework, with the main economic actors, in order to mitigate the effects of the crisis and promote a rapid resumption of activity;
14. the suspension for a period of three months, that is, April, May and June, of on-site inspections by the National Social Insurance Fund (NSIF);
15. the cancellation of penalties for late payment of social security contributions due to the NSIF, upon reasoned request;
16. spreading the payment of the social security contributions for the months of April, May and June 2020 over three instalments, upon reasoned request;
17. the maintenance, for the next three months, that is, from May to July, of the payment of family allowances to staff of companies which are unable to pay social security contributions or which have placed their staff on technical leave because of the economic downturn, particularly in the catering, hotel and transport sectors;
18. the increase of family allowance from CFAF 2,800 to CFAF 4,500;
19. the 20% increase of old pensions that were not automatically revaluated after the 2016 reform.
In addition, the President of the Republic has decided to extend the measures taken on 17 March 2020, as part of the COVID-19 pandemic response strategy, for an additional 15 days, renewable if necessary.
In conclusion, I urge the population to continue to strictly observe the barrier gestures and all measures aimed at limiting the spread of the corona virus in our country, in particular the systematic wearing of protective masks in all areas open to the public and the prohibition of gatherings.
I also call on public workers who have abandoned their duty posts, under the pretext of confinement due to COVID-19, to return without delay to their places of work, failing which they will be subject to the disciplinary sanctions provided for by the regulations in force.
Ministers have been instructed to ensure compliance with this, both at the central level and in the decentralized services of the State.
It is by remaining mobilized, cautious and determined that we will overcome this pandemic.

Thank you.-

Uproar in the North West as Part of President Biya's 2 Billion Package to Fight COVID-19 Reaches Bamenda

Uproar in the North West as Part of President Biya's 2 Billion Package to Fight COVID-19 Reaches Bamenda

That was yesterday the 29th of April 2020 at the premises of the Governor's office upstation where four trucks surgeoned just coming in from Yaounde at about 2:30pm carrying a special package, call it North West's own fair share or consignment of the Presidential package to fight COVID 19.
The package rightly happens to be coming from COVID-19 fighting gadgets precured by Government using the just recently allocated 2 Billion frs CFA cough out by the Head of State President of Republic Paul Biya.
A gesture highly saluted by all Cameroonians at a time Cameroon's COVID-19 cases were rising exponentially to above 1700.
In the face of this high health needs, measures had to be step up in the direction of containment, mass screening and the multiplication of test and treatment centers.
Which according to the population was what the Biya's 2 Billion amount was to be used for in subsidizing Regional treatment centers, District health services, health centers and the press for mass media campaigns against the virus.
To the surprise of the North West media Family who were called to witness the reception ceremony by the North West administration, what was received was estimated to less than 50 millions frs cfa comprising of Buckets,  cartoons of soaps and hand tissue papers ment for the well over 34 councils in the Region.
The question on the lips of every Press man in Bamenda was why carry a scanty trucks to Bamenda? How the insufficient package will be shared? Why the 2 Billion fransc was not shared in cash for each Regions to better look for areas of priorities to combat the virus? Rather than investing on insufficient kids which are already in excess all over the Region.
According to the Media men and women present, what the Region need most are screening, testing and treatment centers, not buckets and soaps which basically each and every one has. According to them investing in the direction of buckets, soaps and hand wipers is a misplaced priority.
Looking at the amount and even if govt was to share equitably to all ten Regions, each will bag home not less than 200 millions frs cfa. Which will be sufficient enough to support one of its major emergency health rescue needs and also help to support the meaningful actions carried out by the Ministry of health with the emergency solidarity funds launched one month ago by President Paul Biya.

Cameroon Gov't Clearifies Population on Ngarbuh Masacre after Punishing Perpatrators of Act

MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION
MINISTÈRE DE LA COMMUNICATION

GOVERNMENT COMMUNICATION

CLARIFICATIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF
CAMEROON ON COMMUNICATION ACTIONS IN
RELATION TO THE NGARBUH INCIDENT

MINCOM PRESS BRIEFING

STATEMENT
 OF
H.E. RENE EMMANUEL SADI
MINISTER OF COMMUNICATION

Yaoundé, 28 April 2020

Dear Journalists,
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,
Pursuant to the Instructions of the PRESIDENT OF THE
REPUBLIC, His Excellency Paul BIYA, the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, through a press release dated 21 April 2020, published the Report of the Joint Inquiry Commission set up on 17 February 2020, by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defence,  ordered by the Head of State, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, with the mission to shed light on the tragic events that occurred in the locality of Ngarbuh, on the night of 13 to 14 February 2020, and to establish the responsibilities of the different actors.
Barely had the main findings of the Inquiry ordered by the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC following those unfortunate events been made public that voices were raised here and there, through the media and social networks, to denounce what they considered to be lies previously uttered by the Government in connection with those events.
For these slayers, who are of different leanings and who are always the same, the results of this investigation confuse the Government, in a kind of denial of the truth, with regard to the facts, as they occurred.
Faced with such an amalgam intended by those who believe they will benefit from it in any way, the Government of the Republic intends to provide the following clarifications and explanations.
First, while we all agree that in all democracies, the duty to inform corresponds to the right of peoples to be informed, it should be stressed that whenever an event of national importance and scope occurs that catches the attention of all Cameroonians, it is the Government that has the primary responsibility, to address, as quickly as possible, national and international opinion to provide it with the essential information it is entitled to know.
In other words, it is a sovereign obligation that no Government can shirk without failing in its commitments to the sovereign people.
To this end, in Cameroon as elsewhere, the information is collected from sources that enjoy the best presumption of reliability, and is then cross-checked before being made public, in order to limit as much as possible the margins of error likely to alter it. This also explains why it may take some time between the occurrence of the event and the Government’s reaction.
This was the case with the Ngarbuh events. The events, as you know, took place on the night of 13 to 14 February 2020. The Government’s reaction came four days later, the time needed to conduct the investigations required by the seriousness of the events.
This means, distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, that when the Government speaks out on topical issues, it always does so in good faith, never with the aim of misinforming or misrepresenting the facts, but, on the contrary, in order to provide the public with the right information in a transparent manner.
As to the substance of the matter in relation to the Ngarbuh incidents, the Government began by recalling the context in which the military operation was undertaken.
In this respect, moreover, as you will have noticed, the views of the Government and those of the Joint Commission of Inquiry converge, in that the village of Ngarbuh had become a landmark, a veritable logistical base for the supply of arms, ammunition and fuel to the secessionist armed bands.
Moreover, the investigation revealed that those terrorists had carried out numerous acts of violence against the civilian population, such as cattle rustling, rape and other assaults, what the Government had also said at the time.
Moreover, it should be recalled that it was in response to the appeal of the people of the locality of Ngarbuh, who were literally taken hostage by the armed gangs, that the Defence Forces undertook a mission on the ground, during which fighting took place and leading to the death of five secessionist terrorists.
Here again, the Joint Commission of Inquiry does not contradict what the Government stated on 18 February 2020, namely that (…) the armed gangs that were wreaking havoc in this area, sowing terror and desolation among the population, had taken refuge in a peripheral hamlet called Ngarbuh, to set up their rear base and reorganize the racketeering of the people, while perpetrating unspeakable abuses on the road leading to Ntumbaw.
Similarly, and at no time did the Government conceal the fact that there have been civilian deaths. This is a serious, distressing and deplorable situation for which the Government, through my voice, has conveyed to the bereaved families the condolences of the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC, His Excellency Paul BIYA.
Only the exact number and the responsibility of the perpetrators of the human killings were deliberately concealed by the elements of our Defence and Security Forces involved in the operation in which they were taken by panic.
Another truth that has not been denied by the Joint Commission of Inquiry and that must be said is that the detachment of military and gendarmes dispatched to Ngarbuh was not intended to exterminate civilians or set houses on fire. In other words, it was not a combat operation, but a reconnaissance mission whose essence was unfortunately twisted.
All what I have just said is sufficient to indicate that it was never the intention of the Government to distort the facts and attests to its good faith: the Communiqué of the Minister of State, Secretary General of the
Presidency of the Republic is unequivocal on this subject, when it states that, “Returning to Ntumbaw, Sergeant BABA GUIDA, who led the operation, sent to his hierarchy, a deliberately biased report. An account on which the Government initially based its
Communication. »
The good faith of the Government, a Government which is and remains one and the same entity, is all the more indisputable since, notwithstanding the initial information made public on the Ngarbuh incident, the Head of State ordered a thorough investigation, the results of which were a priori likely to invalidate or confirm the facts in our possession.
Beyond any differences or convergences that may be revealed by the analysis of the various communications, what is probably important is that the findings of the Inquiry clearly establish the responsibility of certain elements of the army in the Ngarbuh incident and clarify the circumstances in which this incident occurred.
Furthermore, the most important thing is undoubtedly the decision of the President of the Republic to give credence to the findings of the independent Inquiry that he ordered, to take note of them and to draw all the necessary consequences.
We are therefore entitled to congratulate ourselves on the fact that the international and national community unanimously warmly welcomed this remarkable gesture which honours the PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, ignoring the small, provocative, incongruous and inappropriate comments made by some of our fellow citizens who obviously have only a very limited knowledge of the functioning of our institutions and who, unscrupulously and without shame, triumph and jubilate to see that several officials are punished.
Yes, we are saying that the most important thing is to hail, exalt and magnify the act of the PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, who is without doubt an example of political courage, that of a PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, faithful to his principles and commitments, concerned to build and preserve the image of a strong, responsible and exemplary Cameroonian Army.
The Presidential act also proves once again that Cameroon is a Rule of Law where all citizens are equal before the law. In this regard, the persons concerned shall be brought to book.
Similarly, they benefit from the presumption of innocence, as is the case for any person subject to trial until proof of their respective guilt.
As for our Defence and Security Forces, they deserve the encouragement of the entire Nation in carrying out the mission of bringing things back to normalcy, in particularly difficult conditions, faced with terrorist and secessionist armed gangs in the North-West and SouthWest Regions.
The Cameroonian people must remain conscious of the sensitive nature of this mission, which is aimed at preserving the territorial integrity of our country and enabling our people to live in all security, to go about their business with serenity and to fully enjoy their property.
It should also be reiterated that the Cameroonian Army is that of neither a Region, a tribe, nor a political party.
 Its vocation is to ensure the defence of the entire nation and all Cameroonians who are respectful of institutions, without discrimination.
Also, the blunders that some elements of this Army may commit, at times and according to circumstances, cannot in any way tarnish the image of our Defence and Security Forces, which have distinguished themselves in Cameroon, Africa and the world, through their professionalism, discipline and constant attachment to republican values and institutions.
That is why the Government will not cease to denounce the relentlessness and stigmatization shown by some people, particularly NGOs, against the Cameroonian Armed Forces, whose quality, seriousness and the sense of honour are recognized and hailed in many theatres of operation throughout the world.
What is in fact difficult to understand and admit, is this selective condemnation of the exactions perpetrated in the various conflict zones, in that those attributed to the National Forces are dramatised and amplified, while those committed by armed terrorist and secessionist gangs are minimised or even simply concealed, in an astonishing silence of the so-called human rights organisations.
Such an attitude is, to say the least, suspicious. In our point of view, NGOs can dream of being a moral force, but they are not called to add fuel to the fire.
The Government of Cameroon therefore urges bilateral and multilateral partners, and NGOs in particular, to beware of instrumentalization through the deceptive propaganda of the real promoters of violence in Cameroon, who, lurking abroad, are working perniciously and stubbornly to destabilize our country.
In any event, the Government will endeavour to continue to inform national and international opinion on major current events, with the same constancy and the same demand for rigour and transparency whenever necessary.
As for the situation in the North-West and SouthWest Regions, whose reconstruction programme the Head of State has just launched, the Government, through my voice, urges the people of these two Regions to continue to support the local authorities, as well as our Defence and Security Forces, in their struggle to restore peace in this part of our country.
Thank you for your kind attention.

                 The Minister of Communication,

Disinfection of Cameroon Prison's against COVID-19 VIRUS Begins today

Disinfection of Cameroon Prison's against COVID-19 VIRUS Begins today
This resolution was divourged by the sectary of state for pernitentiary Laurent Esso at the inter Ministerial meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Head of Government Chief Dr Dion Ngute through a video conference yesterday the 23rd of April 2020 in Yaounde.
The decision comes timely to adds to additional health security measures put up to protect Cameroon's prisons against the infiltration of the COVID-19 virus after the Head of State's general call for the decongestion of Cameroon's prisons last 15th April 2020.
As we report, 78 out of the 88 functional prisons in Cameroon will under go disinfection as the the number of COVID-19 cases in Cameroon rise to 1334.
An indication that if proper care and prompt emergency actions are not taken in the  right direction of prison management and governance, the slitest penetration of the virus will cause havoc there in.
It is within this frame work or context that it's officials and the government of Cameroon has decided to pay particular attention.
It must also be noted that efforts are also been multiplied in the direction of putting up treatment center, while mobilization is still been done to start a nation wide screening campaign.

210 Cartoons of Fake COVID-19 Drugs Seized by Cameroon Authorities

210 Cartoons of Fake COVID-19 Drugs Seized by Cameroon Authorities
Custom officials in Ngaoundere today 21st April are reported to have seized well over 250 cartoons of fake chloroquine tablets trafficked in from Nigeria.
The hysteria around chloroquine tablets is fast becoming unbearable in the Cameroonians health sector and market. As every blessed day one must hear a fresh story around the said tablet or drug.
It is not up to a month a gang of fake producers of chloroquine tablets were knapped in Bafoussam, another gang was uncovered around kiosi, a week ago a pharmacy and a local medicine store all in Yaounde, were closed for selling fake drugs, today is the turn of the Adamawa Region where a gang of illegal importers from Nigeria were caught with consignments of cartoons containing chloroquine tablets meant for the cure of Corona virus according to smugglers.
Reports from the health department are still to confirm whether the drugs are fake or simply considered fake because of the the clandestine operation associated to it.
The fight against Corona virus in cameroon has suddenly become a money making one as most, especially business men and women have suddenly discovered that there is a heavy demand for chloroquine tablets regarded as cure and preventives against the virus.
Generally business has suddenly taken twixt in all sectors in Cameroon as black market and price hike has suddenly also become the order of the day.
This phenomenon caused by the prevelance of the pandemic has caused a lot of harm to the economy.
The health sector is seriously affected most especially at a time when they are struggling to contain the virus, build up isolation centers, set up more treatment center and battling with a with a common cure for the disease.
Drugs soled in dispersed ranks only come in to make Mar of some of the strict health measures government is apparently putting up to contain and threat the virus, hence fake drugs are now coming in to complicate more the whole situation.
Worst of it all, the Ministry of scientific research mandated by government to produce the same drugs till date has not come out with any clear information in that direction which is certainly why black business market operators have now taken adavantage and have now resorted to buying the highly demanded tablets from neighboring countries to make money.
This is a serious call for concern or else all Cameroon's population will perish because of the circulation of fake drugs.

Abomination: Spreading COVID-19 as a Means to Earn a LIving in Cameroon

Abomination: Spreading COVID-19 as a Means to Earn a LIving in Cameroon

Woman caught washing disposed face masks to resell for a living
News just coming in has it on right footing that the market for Corona virus has suddenly become lucrative in Cameroon that the face masks at every level gives money. From outright production to sales and recollection of disposed mask to reselling, people make money. The act itself is not strange given that in the early days of condoms many were caught sunning reused condoms after usage to program for another sex encounter all because of the lack of means or to make "economy".
Today the obvious is also making news around the quarter that a woman and daughter ( whose identity we prefer to keep close), were caught red handed washing recollected face masks to sell and out of it earn a living.
It is not surprising as that may just be a case amongst a multitude because nothing is impossible in Cameroon.
The speed at which people jumped into the production of unorthodox face masks after government made official the wearing of face masks and the high demand for it could not spare the situation of clandestine act or atrocious behavior from individuals who would want to take advantage of the situation to make money even at the mercy of human lives.
Since there are no check and control mechanisms, the production and sales of the face masks are done in dispersed ranks.
Not only that, most of the masks are also produced and sold under very in hygienic conditions.
Who is to be blamed, is the million dollar question? the tailor who crafts any thing in the name of a face mask and is selling or that boy who goes selling it to gain a hundred fransc from it or that woman and daughter who goes about picking used disposed masks to wash and resell to make a living out of or government, who is battling with internal wrangles and financial constraints to contain the virus?
As we report, terrible things and situation are still to come to the lime light in the course of containing COVID-19 in all directions.
We lastly heard of a gang caught selling fake chloroquine tablets. Later it was a pharmacy and a local medicine store, today we are talking of a woman washing disposed face masks to sell, tomorrow we will hear of treatment centers for Corona virus in the quarter and why not local concoctions or vaccines used to scam people in Cameroon.
Going by this so telling report, it is now obvious that if one is spared of the virus in Cameroon, it is out of share luck not care, because from the look of things all is about business and money making caring less about human lives.
But who is to be blamed is another big  question and what do we expect from a poor, hungry and a desperate man or women? Misadventures.

Spreading COVID-19 as a Means to Earn a LIving in Cameroon
This so telling picture are making rounds on Cameroon's social media circle, God have Mercy

Clandestine Sales of Anti-COVID-19 Drugs in Cameroon Sparks Controversy

Whistle Blowing and the Fight against CORONA VIRUS:
Clandestine Sales of Anti-COVID-19 Drugs in Cameroon Sparks Controversy
 A Pharmacy and a Local Medicine Store sealed and Closed in Yaounde,
Similar Exercise to be Extended to all other ten Regions of Cameroon
Barely less than two months since a gang of four individuals were Picked by the forces of law and order in Cameroon in Bafoussam for the mass fabrication, trafficking and sales of fake “Chloroquine” tablets, meant to cure, threat and prevent CORONA VIRUS,.
Anthoer gang of crooks operating legitimately under a Pharmacy and a local medical provision store yesterday Friday 17 April 2020, all based in Yaounde were nabbed in their usual unceremonious act of the sales and marketing of “CHLOROQUINE TABLETS” noted so far as alleged cure and preventives for COVID-19.
The two sales points uncovered according to Cameroon health officials are unauthorized and are in the clandestine marketing of a drug whose components are yet to be define and legalized by the Cameroon Ministry of scientific research who were just recently granted the exclusive Right to produce and supply a drug or tablet against the COVID-19 VIRUS.
This act strongly beats the imagination of the Cameroon government and the authorized Ministry in question to already have a certain drug circulating as cure and preventive for the COVID-19 VIRUS when they are still to embark on the production exercise haven’t just ordered chemicals from abroad which is still on the way.
The act, which is a serious call to health concern, has sparked a lot of confusion as the mission of the health officials who sealed the
said trafficking centers does not only end at that level but extends to those they have supplied the drugs, for whole sale, retails and
those who have bought a chunk and taken to areas hit by the pandemic in Cameroon most especially for cure to the virus.
Sources close to the brigade in charge of investigation holds that, if moves are not hasten up, more people through the consumption of the said drugs may avoid regular health tips and possibly get contaminated in the name of already having or haven’t taken preventives or cure.
As we report, owners of the Pharmacy “Le Bon Berger” and a local medicine Store “St Etiene” are under going grilling for furthern investigation for the law to take its course, since all should not be business even in times of health crisis.

Fight against COVID-19: Face Masks Now Fast Becoming a Major Source of contamination in cameroon

Fight against COVID-19: Face Masks Now Fast Becoming a Major Source of contamination  in cameroon

Non medicalized  face mask are now posing as a major threat to fight against covid 19 in Cameroon and is gradually playing the role of a Major source of contamination.
Given that basically everybody has jumped into the business to make money through mass irregular production looking at the increasing demand.
Production and sales of the non medicalized face masks has suddenly become a lucrative business in Cameroon and does not require any license to produce or permit to sell. The price range vary from 100frs to 350, 500, 1000 and now to even 1500frs from the day government officialized the law on wearing of masks in public gatherings.
The mad rush into that business sector was motivated by government's decision of Monday the 13 of April 2020 ordering through the prime Minister Chief Dr Dion Ngute the wearing of face masks by every citizen before appearing in public.
As such every Cameroonians since the date of signature of the decree by compulsure were forced to stretch hands where ever to put on the mask or face the wrath of the law.
By so doing average Cameroonians who cannot afford or who lack the means were bound to go for cheap and less costly face masks in respect of the law.
Most, as we report have even resorted to tearing and stitching old loins to look like face masks and wear.
Also worth noting is that obscured production and tailing shop for the production of such face masks have now erupted.
The sales of the locally fabricated non medicated face masks which is done harphazardly and purely under in hygienic condition is now the rule of the day from statistic.
The call for concern now is, how will the protection exercise be effective in a situation where, the seller, the buyer and users of the face mask remain vulnerable to COVID-19 even in the process of taking guard.
Most school of thought are of the opinion that Gov't should make redress, set control measures or embarb on the production and the free distribution of medicalized face masks. Without which, according to great pundits, all efforts or attempts to contain the virus in Cameroon will be in vane.

With this type of picture are we multiplying the spread of corona or preventing or protecting individuals against the virus

COVID-19 Basically Moves the World to Stand Still, Nations, Leaders Humiliated

COVID-19 Basically Moves the World to Stand Still, Nations, Leaders Humiliated
The Planet Bleeds,
Virus Now almost Above all Principalities,
The World Hijacked by Confusion
It is unfortunate, but the advent of the CORONA Virus in the face of mankind and humanity has been more devastating than any other pandemic on earth. Planet earth is in total chaos because of the global war and campaign against CORONA, a virus whose origin and mystery remains as a myth and has so far rained quite an uncontrollable havoc in the world.
Over 3.6 billion population of the world is grounded, death toll above a million, human moral ethics of hand shaking transgressed, hand washing, putting on of face mask, using of hand sanitizers, now health rules of the day, prayers the only remedy, as researchers labor to come up with vaccines and cure.
World Economies and governments not to talk of world industrial hubs, markets in the planetary village in a global evolving economy have suddenly been brought to an untimely standstill in attempt to contain virus and stop its spread through lockdown.
HIV/AIDS, Ebola, Bird Flu, etc came and went with minor and without far reaching and crushing effects on planet earth like CORONA.
The coming of this Monster virus I must emphasize, which is more likely and almost above the killing power of the Atomic bomb, has proven the extraordinary.
Not only has human souls perished in their quantities, but nations, leaders and governments have bowed to the virus. The medical corps rendered helpless and some killed in attempt to cure or rescue infected or identified cases.
The world for the first time is unanimous on a fight not between nations but against a common enemy CORONA which has put the whole world on hold.
As we report, no single nation on earth will deny the fact that the said virus has destabilized if not completely grounded the function of most government arms and axis, reasons why containment measures of the virus need to be stepped up.
The mystery about the said virus is that, all attempts at retraining it keeps failing as the virus keeps multiplying and spreading at the speed of light. Beating the record of all satanic inventions, many opinion holders declare in tears. While a cross sections say it is “a necessary evil” meant to humble mankind and fulfill the scripture about end times.
Others are happy about its eruption because it has come to humble great nations, individuals and world powers who at this point in time in history were waiting for the least spark to jump into world war three where their respective military might will be measured or tested.
Hear one of them, “for the Vatican, Rome, Italy to have been torched restlessly by the virus, seat of the Holy See then, CORONA is above invincibility. All attempts have failed and the world now seeks solace in the hands of prayers and the will of Divine providence. Prayers now remain the last resort as fellow humans fear end time and the second coming of Christ as upholders of great religious dogmas put it.
To end our problematic pandemic report, another war is yet in the offing gaining grounds amongst researchers, on the CORONA Virus and where it should be tested. Africa or Africans where European researchers have announced to start testing the virus are against and have already reacted violently. We are quoting the case of a Kenyan hospital burned to ashes by angry youths earmarked as one of CORONA Vaccine testing centre. This action goes a long way to complement or add to the tones of reactions from African leaders and football icons like, Didier Drogba, Etoe Fils, Roger Miller etc. who have rejected the idea completely and prefers the mass vaccination testing campaign to start in China, Italy, Spain, the US, the UK, France etc areas known to have suffered a lot in the hands of the atrocious virus.

Test of Corona vaccine in Africa and plans to Spray disinfectants in Bamenda sparks controversy

Test of Corona vaccine in Africa and plans to Spray disinfectants in Bamenda sparks controversy
The Advent of the COVID-19 pandemic on Earth has left so far about a million untimely deaths out of the Billions of population the world has.
In the face of it's continues multiplication amid treatment and containment measures, the the disease has continued to rain havoc, of late nations have been mobilizing efforts and resources to kick out the virus to no avail, medics on their part have been proposing diverse antidotes, cures or vaccine to arrest situation.
The unfortunate situation that has suddenly sparked a wave of confusion arround the world is the recent call to action with emergency vaccines as preventives to the virus and which has to start in Africa.
Why Africa first? is the biggest question mindful of  the fact that she has recorded the lowest number of deaths so far in the health hazard or crisis.
Vaccines in that direction according to popular opinion holders, should be tested in China, Italy, the US, Spain France etc that is areas that have recorded the highest number of deaths.
The case of Bamenda a part of the warring English speaking Regions of Cameroon kept under siege today by it's government officials in the name of spraying major market centers has caused quite a lot of confusion.
As the population who have kept their business places lockdown are wandering aloud today the 3rd of April why Bamenda has to be sprayed with disinfectants before the major towns of Yaounde, Douala , Bafoussam, Limbe Buea etc, in Cameroon that has recorded a far total number of 300 cases in the Republic as we report.
Others are even questioning what the officials want to disinfect in Bamenda, a town not declared amongst affected towns.
Hear some "you only disinfect an affected or a virus infested area, now that no case has been identified in Bamenda, what are the officials then planning to disinfect"?
In another vein the spokesperson of the southern Cameroon liberation movement on YouTube Chris Anu  yesterday, hammered and nailed the Bamenda disinfection exercise terming it a plan by the regime to spray toxic gas to exterminate the minority Anglophone race in Cameroon.
According to him, the regime has no say over Ambazonians and should not dare with their cosmetic plans and arrangements. While Calling on the population not to heed to any calls, and to start observing their own official lockdown scheduled as from Wednesday the 8th of April as they of the interim government are articulating, he reiterated that they have taken all disposition to bar Corona from entering North West.
These and many more are varied opinions from opinion holders, which is not giving peace to the Cameroonian airwave and the social Media circles.
