Professor John Ebai Egbe who is a seasoned University Lecturer in Cameroon, presently the
special adviser to Insitute University de Grand Ecole de Technology Douala ( IUGET),
was unanimously voted National President at the general assembly of the said engineer's
society in Yaounde, playing host at Ecole Des post conference Hall on the 8th
of January 2022 replacing rite Honorable Tumassang who has held the prestigious
post for years and had to throw the towel.
The said
engineering society dubbed ONIGE in their usual annual come together, assemble
and regroup members in the guild of engineers and officials in government to
chart ways forward to advance and better coordinate or regulate the practice of
cooperate engineering in Cameroon.
The
Engineering society, ONIGE having as specialties by law telecommunication,
electronics, electrical power and computing, on this day brought stakeholders to decide on the fate and destiny
of the society and the engineering Corp in Cameroon.
Amongst
other matters discussed to restructure and why not overhaul the total functioning
of the system or body, the regulatory organ mapped out structural adjustments plans
to ease the smooth function and operation of the society.
With
a new head for the body ONIGE, there are new and high prospects that continuity
will be assured with assiduity and great innovation given that the post has
been entrusted to a university Don who does not only master administration and
management, but has the natural technical know how to relate well, coordinate
and lobby.

profile of the New National President of the Cameroon Society of Electrical
Engineers goes does;
Prof. John Ebai Egbe is a computer system engineer(consultant) with a 29 year experience in Public administration, a registered member of Cameroon society of Electrical Engineers (ONIGE), was trained in management at the civil service school (ENAP) in the University of Quebec Canada. He is a specialist in operation management, management information systems, design and analysis, he is a direct expertise with UNDP as a National expert for ICT in Cameroon since 2015 to 2018, have been involved in the training of students and top civil servants for the implementation of sectorial programs on the evaluation on strategic management, leadership and cooperation governance. Completed the UNDP 2010 project on E-governance TCAD III, ICT initiative for the Cameroon government, is a visiting lecturer at Afrilfa kCC Nairobe Kenya, National polytechnic WINHOEK Namibia since 2012, a consultant for the PAN African virtual and E-university ( Adis Ababa African union project, vision 2064). He is first batch trained in computer systems analysis in the University of Lagos Akaka Nigeria, obtained his MBA from Northern London polytechnic HOLOWAY, is a PGD Engineering/MSC degree holder from LEICESTER since 1999, a Ph.D holder in systems design from HENLEY BUSINESS school (Ansted), obtained a UK research in system Development certificate at the National University of Singapore sponsored by the common wealth through an Award. Worked at CENADI as chief of service computer system analyst, Professor consultant at ISMP/ENAP) CMR/ Canada, former Deputy Director institute of technology Uba 2010, former Director/Dean of HICM Uba 2012 , he is an admitted officer of the Cameroon order of merit and admitted as university professor in systems analysis and design since 2008 inter-alia...
