Fon Forchesiri III Speaks Out on Neukwe-Nfor, Outlines Achievements Since 2020 on the Thrown of Bamendankwe

 

The paramount Fon of Bamendankwe Forchesiri III took pains out on the 4th of January 2022 to explain to the Press at the Palace Plaza the inside out of the dual traditional celebration ceremony going on for his grand father Forchesiri II and father Nforngwa II who ruled respectively from 1932 to 2020.

Speaking to the Press in the course of the two weeks long symbolic traditional celebration ceremony, the Fon expressed gratitude to his internal and external elites for their massive support, contributions and mobilization.

He appreciated the infrastructural and development works carried out by the village cultural and Development association plus the traditional council to face lift the architectural values of living structures in the palace and village by extension. He recognized the individual and collective efforts of the people, above all, he thanked their ancestors for paving the way and creating the room in the phase of the growing Anglophone crisis for the dual ceremonies to succeed and go hitch free.


Hear him as he exploded with joy to the Press, “that the Neukwe, is a symbolic ceremony because it is an opportunity for sons and daughters of Bamendakwe to come together to celebrate culture and tradition, doing that to recognize their iconic rulers who have gone to the world beyond interceding for them. As a village it is an opportunity for us to celebrate their great achievements and unite our voice to canvas for collective peace in the face of the growing socio political crisis in the Region. We are happy with the mobilization and turn out from the Diaspora. This cultural manifestations, gives us the opportunity additionally to bring them back and get them actively involved in community development. At the end of the day through such a forum we are making our people to understand that, unity and love is important. It is equally a moment or opportunity for us to preach peace and reconcile fellow love ones, friends and family.”

About his engagement and commitment with the people, he said, “he is proud of the support and collaboration from all the traditional institutions in the village which is why they have been able to realize such a giant venture and all the infrastructural developments in and out of the palace in no distance time. Solidarity, amongst the Bamendankwe man he also emphasized was manifested through out the occasion, demonstrating love for one another. Thanking the population for all their sacrifice, he further appealed to the population to keep to their village commitments as he live up to expectation to meet the common goal of every body and the common welfare of the village.”



As a message of gratitude, “he stressed on the maintenance of peace and the desire for peace to be sustained in and around the village by the Bamendakwe man and why not the population of the North West by extension.”
