Cameroon Bar Elective Congress, 24th Nov 2018 in Douala; Barrister Ben Suh Fuh North West Flag Bearer Determined to Take Up Presidency

From the President General Ni Kamga whose mandate and that of the President of the general Assembly Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle expired long ago. A week to this grand historic rendezvous of lawyers in Douala, to decide on who takes the mantle of command for the next two years, the terrain for now is highly animated by lawyers from both the English and French speaking parts of the country.
Who takes the leadership mantle of command at this crisis period in Cameroon is the bone of command and contention of every practicing lawyers as they are coming from the foot hills of the Lawyers strike in 2016,2017 and the increasing threats from Ambazonian activists who are clamoring for the Southern Cameroon Bar Council and are bent on disrupting the Cameroon Bar elective congress at all cost.
That not withstanding as Barrister Kemende rightly puts it, “we keep moving till the tyers of the car gets completely flat”. Many are Lawyers, a handful of them to name the very Ni Kamga himself, Maitre Tchakounte from the West Region, Barrister Titanji Ernest, Barrister Vegah Roland, Barrister Ben Suh Fuh etc are ready to run irrespective of all the threats from separatists leaders and Amba boys.
Amongst vying lawyers contesting from the North West Region is veteran Barrister Ben Suh Fuh, a seasoned practicing Lawyer known as the flag bearer. Ben Suh Fuh from Bafut is a house hold name in the legal field in Cameroon, a Lawyer in practice for almost 20 years, founder of Amity Chambers Bamenda, holder of an LLB Hons in Lagos and an LLB Licence in the University of Yaounde.
Barrister Ben Suh Fuh according to fellow colleagues from opinions sampled is ripe and fit for the position of the president of the Bar Council, the Bar General Assembly as this is not his first attempt to that prestigious post in the corp. God being by his side and knowing him for his palmaress in the legal field, Barrister Ben Suh Fuh this time will sail through as it pleases Lawyers of integrity who want the dormant Bar Council to be reanimated and drastic reforms put up for the general good of all Lawyers and the noble profession in Cameroon.

After Cameroon’s 2018, 7th October Polls: Gov’t Cabinet Shakeup Next Week!

Ø  Joshua, Fru Ndi, Cabral, Prophet Frank, Serge Matomba & Prelates in?
Ø  Ministers Earmarked for Kondengui Under Surveillance, Passports seized
G20 Members battlling on who should be Appointed
It is no strange news that after every new mandate picked Mr Biya always appoints and dismisses ministers at will to execute his new road map policies, certainly based on their contributions to the success story or their non performance. For the past seven mandates Biya has spared no opportunity in reshuffling his government.
I don’t think now that he struggled to buy his way through with escalating Anglophone crisis in the North West South West, increasing threats of Post election violence from Maurice Kamto and some civil society activists, he will spare the chance in appointing new government officials and kicking out most.
Maurice Kamto’s licked government on social media spares him the pain on how to weed out sell outs and traitors in the house as his list carried both members of the Biya’s government in place, some in Kondengui and most of the activists now clamoring for a new head of state.
Taking office on the 6th of November 2018 under unimaginable circumstances, Mr Biya the guarantor of social peace and protector of Cameroons constitution as he said in his policy speech will leave no stone unturned to come or attaint the emerging goals he has for Cameroon.
One of the most important tasks will be to set up a new government and a reliable team of those who masters his modus operandi. From the look of things, his restructured government will take into consideration, those who can contribute in helping to solve the Anglophone crisis.
In other words his new government will surely and certainly extend an olive plant to the nine contestants of the 7th October Polls who indicate interest in joining government, as is already the case with Gabral Libil, Prophet Frank, Serge Matomba and even Joshua Osih.
Fru Ndi stands a better position to be included in Biya’s government as he has proven for this short while that he is for a one and indivisible Cameroon. Using Fru Ndi to humiliate Kamto Maurice will certainly push Biya to appoint the SDF Chieftain into a high office of his administration to completely silence Maurice Kamto and his holdup campaign against Biya.
A government with Fru Ndi will also authoritatively cause the Biya government to include prelates and men of God in his new administration.
As for those sacked, Biya will immediately prepare their files to join other inmates in Kondengui, for cases of fraud, embezzlement and crimes against the state.
History is still to record that the highest number of government officials to be push to Kondengui after cabinet shakeup will be this time. As we report a good number of members of government who were anticipating change are already preparing their bags and struggling to smuggle their ways out of the country as head will roll.
For now security sources holds that a good number of those earmarked for Kondengui are already under surveillance, house arrest and passports seized. While self seeking individuals are busy flying the corridors of power with heavy mallets to see who to bribe to be positioned where in government for the new 7 years “chopping arrangement”.
As we report, there is total panic and confusion amongst government officials around Yaounde circles, who are doing all in their best to tidy their desk before the wind blows and expose their anus. Others have fallen into dubious hand already struggling to by their ways as intelligence officers are using the situation at hand to grab their own shares of the stolen money with threat messages. Affaire a suivre…

after Nov 15th Yaounde Court Ruling; Biya to Grant General Amnesty to 47 Leaders & Activists Abroad

Ø  Call for National Dialogue and Reconciliation Meeting,
Ø  Decentralization & Federation Top on the Agenda
It is now crystal clear from the historic rite of oath policy speech of the Head of State President Paul Biya that he is ready to solve the Anglopone problem and holds the crisis as one of his major task to accomplish as he takes office on the 6th of November 2018.
Appealing to separatist armed groups in the bush to drop their weapons and join the dialogue table according to political pundits, is already a giant step in the right direction and a manifestation of good will by the head of state President Paul Biya in the direction of looking for a lasting solution to the ongoing Anglophone crisis.
From his speech, Cameroonians in their general opinion most especially those of English speaking extraction are already seeing Biya solving the Anglophone problem through the manifestation of good faith.
It should be noted, that the historic rite of oath ceremony comes at the foot hills of another historic show in the history of Anglophone struggle that is the court ruling highly awaited on 47 abducted Ambazonian leaders from Nigeria coming up on the 15 of November. The Judgment in question gives Mr Biya the latitude to exercise his powers of exonerating the sentenced for a level playing ground or the dialogue table to be set for the much longed national discuss and reconciliation meeting.
From the way events are unfolding, optimist in their line of reason and reading from the political hand writings on the walls, already know that 47 abducted Ambazonians leaders  will be sentenced for crimes against the state, treason and will later on in the days ahead be granted amnesty and send to bring in fellow brother in the bush holding arms against the state to the dialogue table and that will be the beginning and the end of the Anglophone crisis.
Amnesty to 47 Ambazoninian leaders will be the preliminary phase of wooing separatists’ leaders in the bush holding arms to the dialogue table, hence the beginning of a solution to the long lasting problem affecting Cameroon government.
This line of action puts Biya to task on what to offer the Anglophones after the dialogue table is set, which he made very clear, Federation which comes to strengthen decentralization.
The days ahead from the look of things in Cameroon history are very promising most especially as all eyes were on to see if she will jump into post election violence after elections which never came to pass, God loves and has good plans for Cameroon, says optimist contrary to the wishes of pessimists.

Cameroon Anglophone Struggle for Independence; After October 7th Polls, Government to Intensify Crack Down on Activists

Security sources around CED and the Delegate General of National Security in Cameroon avails that haven’t successfully finished with the 2018 Presidential Elections amidst rising tensions from the two English speaking parts of the country North West and South West Regions, the Biya government, regime will spare no effort to cause the extradition and abduction of activist championing the Ambazonian struggle abroad.
We are here talking of the most dreaded, Dr Cho Ayaba, Dr Ebenezard Akwanga, Boh Herbert, Eric Taw Taw, John Mbah Akurouh, Njumbe George, Mark Bareta, Tapang Ivo Tanku, Dr Carlson Anyangwe, chis Bongam, Chris Anu, Dr Samuel Sake, Millan Atams, etc
These persons a true thorn in the flesh of Cameroon since the Southern Cameroon Struggle dubbed Ambazonian Revolution started since early 2016 as they are the brains behind all the” ghost towns” every Mondays that has paralyzed the North West and South West economy, the varied peaceful march and demonstrations every October 1st and the 22nd of Septembers.
Their revolutionary actions cannot be undermined as it has grounded the economy of the English speaking part of the country, schools blocked from functioning normally, youths caused to pick up arms against government forces in what is today termed deathly clashes and confrontations between Amba Defense forces and the La Republic forces that has caused the fleeing of almost 500000 persons, the lost of human lives and properties.
President Paul Biya taking office this 3rd of November 2018 for the 7th consecutive time, has as duty to put to rest the dangerous activities of secessionists that has almost plunge the whole Cameroonian economy into total crisis.
These developments are happening with the all riding influence and pressure from world peace governing bodies who are strongly for the government of Cameroon to free all 46 Ambazonian leaders including Seseku Ayke Tabe its President abduction in 2017 from Nigeria in captivity and open fresh dialogue with them.
That not withstanding, the Cameroon government is still hashing underground plans to crush what they term as the diabolic actions and propaganda of activists abroad which is not giving government peace and rest. As we report, families of the above mentioned activists are currently undergoing persecution from the Cameroonian government. Affair a suivre..see more details in our next edition.

Nigeria Presidential Election: Abubakar To Run Against Buhari

The opposition, led by ex-VP Atiku Abubakar, plans to beat President Muhammadu Buhari in the February polls.
Nigeria's main opposition has chosen former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its candidate for the 2019 elections as it seeks to remove President Muhammadu Buhari.
The nomination of Abubakar, 71, by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), sets the stage for what is expected to be a fiercely contested poll in Africa's largest economy.
Abubakar hopes to replicate Buhari’s 2015 feat, when the latter became the first opposition candidate in Nigerian history to defeat a sitting president.
Abubakar, who had been the country’s vice president between 1999 and 2007, left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party in November and re-joined the PDP.
Buhari, 75, has already been selected by the ruling party as its candidate.
Next year's presidential race appears to have tightened in recent months, with the APC hit by a wave of defections over Buhari's leadership style.
Abubakar comes from the Muslim-majority north and his nomination follows an unwritten rule in Nigeria that the presidency should alternate every two terms between a candidate from the north and south.

Fall in popularity

In 2015, Buhari's victory over former President Goodluck Jonathan was marked by a wave of optimism, which seems to be in decline now.
In May, his approval rating plummeted to 41 percent from a peak of 80 percent in October 2015, according to NOIPolls, a Nigerian polling service.

There have also been concerns about his fragile health, his economic policies, the extent of his claims about better security, as well as the targets of his campaign against corruption.
However, Niyi Akinsiju, coordinator of Buhari Media Organisation, told Al Jazeera that Buhari's chances of re-election are "very high".
"He has developed a trusting relationship with the people who have confidence in his fidelity and integrity in the exercise of power," he said.
The PDP is hoping Abubakar will be able to leverage Buhari’s dwindling fortunes.
"Atiku Abubakar is seen by a majority of Nigerians as the candidate with the magic solution to the crisis plaguing our nation," PDP spokesman Kola Ologbodiyan told Al Jazeera.
"He has a respectable pedigree within the political class across party leanings," he said.
The country's electoral commission has cleared 19 candidates to challenge Buhari in the February election.
Oby Ezekwesili, 55, a two-time minister and former vice president for Africa at the World Bank, is among other standout candidates.
She is the cofounder of the #BringBackOurGirls group to raise awareness about more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by armed group Boko Haram in 2014.
"Governance keeps worsening. So we the citizens have decided to get into the political arena to make things right," Ezekwesili said.
Kingsley Moghalu, former UN official and deputy governor of Nigeria's central bank, is also in the race.
An optimistic Moghalu even points to recent history for an "upset victory" for a non-mainstream candidate. "It happened with Trump. It happened with Macron," he said.
Hamza al-Mustapha, controversial security chief of the country's former military ruler, Sani Abacha, is also in the race. He has never held any political position.
In July, 39 registered political fronts, including the PDP and a splinter group from within the ruling party, signed an agreement to form the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).
The splinter group of disaffected APC members led by Buhari's former ally, Buba Galadima, criticised the president's tenure as "a monumental disaster".A
Ahead of his election in 2015, Buhari promised to tackle B

oko Haram as well as fight corruption, revive the economy and provide jobs.
"He has stabilised the economy, reduced the Boko Haram insurgency from an invading army to opportunistic terrorists. His fight against corruption has reduced acts of brazen corruption and bureaucratic impunity," Akinsiju said.
Nigeria, Africa's top oil producer and the continent’s biggest economy, entered its first recession in 25 years in 2016, mainly caused by lower oil prices and attacks in the Niger Delta crude production region.
It emerged from recession in early 2017, but economists say growth remains sluggish and inflation has remained high.
Buhari’s supporters claim he has stabilised the economy.
"The economy has witnessed an unprecedented, consistent decline in inflation rate over an 18-month period reducing from a high of 18.7 percent in January 2017 to 11.14 percent in July 2018," Akinsiju said.
But the opposition is confident the economic situation will dent Buhari’s popularity.
"Atiku understands this nation and its economy. He is a personality that can take charge of his environment and comes up with decisions that affect the people positively," Ologbodiyan said.
