That
was on Thursday the 25th of August 2022 at the Nkum ceremonial ground
before the respective traditional and religious authority in place, plus the population
who massively turn out to welcome their new Sub-Division officer.
The new
DO for Nkum takes over from his predecessor, called to other duties in the Ministry
of Territorial administration after commanding that area of jurisdiction for over
three years in abstention.
On the
occasion the (SDO) Senior Divisional Officer for Bui Gilbert Meyong mandated to
carry out the installation rites by the Head of State Head of government President
Paul BIYA seized the singular opportunity while presenting him to the population
of Nkum, to caution him about the abuse of power and administrative excesses. On
an additional note, he appealed to the new DO of Nkum a graduate from ENAM with
a senior category who has gathered a lot of experience in the field to use his able
prioress to; bring back things to normal, restore peace and social security in the
area, cause schools to resume effectively, above all cause the elite, the population
and traditional authorities to regain their rightful place in Nkum and to be law
abiding.
His installation
comes one month after his appointment at MINAT amongst other state authorities in
the said Ministry headed by Paul Atanga Nji.
The new
DO of Nkum in his late 30s has put in about 10 years of effective administrative
services to the state. Before his appointment, he was serving as the Divisional
Delegate of labour and social security for Boyo Division.
