Ahead of 2023 International Day for Persons with Disabilities SEEPD Project Manager Commits to Revive, Enhance and Strengthen Campaigns for an all Collective Inclusive Society/Buildings in Cameroon

That takes into consideration the special needs of not only persons living with Disabilities, but also old persons, nursing mothers, children, the sick and basically everybody.

This decision comes against the backdrop of a sudden call for awareness noticed with most buildings, to be precise public buildings in the social space that mostly in recent times does not take into consideration the special needs of the people and their social welfare.

As a social change bringer and advocate for people with special needs Awa Jacques Chirac M. Program manager for the Socio Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SEEPD) in an exclusive interview with the Executive Director of World Echoes Media Group Tamukong Roland Angong ahead of 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, declared his action plans to cause government officials, government institutions, the civil society, NGOs, Mayors, MPs, Senators ,Hospitals, school owners and proprietors,  the church, decision and policy makers business operators and most especially builders or engineers  etc. to take special note, special needs and why not considerations before putting up, erecting or supervising a building  under construction  for its special needs to everybody.

Meaning buildings in the North West Region and Cameroon in general should start taking special consideration of the collective needs of everybody and must be accessible by all without stress and must be all inclusive.

What the CBC Health/SEEPD Scribe is advocating for, is the rights of persons living with disabilities, saying,  that time has come under the sun for laws on promoting people’s rights with disabilities kept in cupboards and seldom implemented to be brought back into normal life situation and put into daily practice at all levels.

That is why SEEPD Program Manager on a second thought, mindful of all the abuse and the gross violation of social rights to access for persons with disabilities and others has taken upon himself this December 3rd 2023 a special year of our lord to carry out a week long awareness and sensitization campaign that will cut across the media, through government, the church, the civil society, in the communities and homes to enforce the special need and call for collective social inclusion.

What we are saying is that the SEEPD program Manager under the CBC Health service working for over 50 years with the general experience in promoting inclusive development and the CBM is determined and has taken commitment to not only call for as usual but to do a proper follow up this year to oversee a general turn around for collective inclusion.

This year’s international day for persons with disabilities will be celebrated   under the theme “A DAY FOR ALL” which calls for the special consideration of every body and everyone’s wish.

Doing justice to everyone and most especially the needy and disable persons the Program Manager for SEEPD has taken commitment and undertaking to more than ever before fight against the gross abuse generally going on in town with constructions for the protection of right to access for everyone most especially those with disabilities and special needs.
