CCJN Cameroon Climate Journalism Network to Launch a robust Self Help Communal program to combat flood in Bamenda through a vast Media campaign and Canalization initiative”, dub Canalization of run off for Portable Water use.

 



“Waste is Wealth Part L” on board our Climate Wagon this Week as part of activities to commemorate World Habitat Day  in Bamenda on the 5th of October 2026 at the MINEPAT Conference hall, officials of Cameroon Climate Journalism Network (CCJN) and Land Media Actors of Media Actors for Technological Development (MEDACT), shall launch and present a robust Self Help Communal program to combat flood in Bamenda through a vast  Media campaign and Canalization initiative”, dub Canalization of run off for Portable Water use.

That is directing rain, storm water, surface run off for household use and community development through a vast land use and reclamation sensitization campaign.

In all the project initiative is a drainage proposal to control floods and sustainably manage run offs in Bamenda through Canalization for Portable water.

On that same occasion CCJN shall be presenting the bold imprints of her five years Climate strategic communication development action program for Cameroon.

This year’s world habitat day is celebrated under the theme “Equitable habitat for all, through Communication for Development”.
