More than 8,000 Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered in Nigeria– GOC

The Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division, Brig.-Gen. Abdulwahab Eyitayo, says more than 8,000 Boko Haram terrorists have so far surrendered to troops

He said the terrorists surrendered from their enclaves in Sambisa Forests, as well as other hideouts.

Eyitayo, who is also the Commander, Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai, disclosed this during a visit by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu and a team of Defence Correspondents from Abuja on Tuesday, in Maiduguri.

He said the surrender by the repentant terrorists was a welcome development, adding that the overwhelming fire power of the troops was responsible.

According to him, one of the reasons they are surrendering in droves is the overwhelming fire power from the troops.

“It is because every man’s endeavour is motivated by his family’s wellbeing, that is why they are coming out with their families. We started seeing the signs from June.

“Our intensified operations had blocked their logistics’ routes and supplies, bombardments all over, that is why they started surrendering and diseases have overpowered many of them.

“It was better because in the end, the troops will clear all of them and their sympathisers combined,” he said.

The GOC warned that a time would come that the window of surrender would no longer be available, urging the sympathisers of the terrorists to encourage them to come out.

He added that whoever supported the enemies of the state would also be treated as an enemy by the state forces.

He said the military was more determined than ever to deal decisively with the terrorists and their supporters.

On the handling of the surrendered terrorists, Eyitayo disclosed that the Nigerian army was responsible for receiving, profiling or screening of the terrorists.

The GOC stated that afterwards, they would be handed over to the Borno government for further action.

He explained that a sizeable number of the surrendered, comprised wives and children of the terrorists, as well as those that were forcefully recruited into their folds.

Earlier, the director, army public relations, said the media tour was part of efforts to counter the wrong narratives and apprehensions generated by recent surrenders of the terrorists.

Nwachukwu acknowledged and commended efforts of the troops in putting pressure on the terrorists to abandon their illicit activities.

Crying Fowl to Atrocities as Anglophone Crisis Grows in Propensity:Serious Man Hunt for Harboring Separatists Fighters

✓The Case of Fung Clovis and many others at large for their dear lives, whose where about are very much unknown

As the liberation War in Anglophone Cameroon deepens with untold suffering meted on English speaking Cameroonians, plus the misery it has inflicted on the desperate population,. People continue to die unexpectedly because of the war which is growing in Propensity daily. Most schools have remained permanently closed, villages deserted  and gun battle the order of the day between Republican forces and separatists fighters.

Security reports on the ground have it on good grounds that many have been shot in cold blood, others caught by cross fire and a cross section in the regime’s maximum security prisons. All in the name of putting the situation to rest through military and repressive measures and not through a genuine and sincere dialogue.

What human rights organization and international bodies are yet to know or are blind to.

This is because most of the acts are covered in the course of execution. As we report arbitrary arrests and gun battles are seriously going on in all the areas of the seven Divisions of the North West Region declared as “Red zones”. These are areas declared as no go zones harboring separatists fighters or are hide outs for Ambazonian defense forces, we are talking of Bambalang, Ndop, Jakiri, Kumbo, Belo, Njinikom, Bafut, Tanka, Mbengwi, Bali, Batibo, Widikum etc.

Because they are hide out for separatists forces, they are subject to several targets and most often a time any youth of average height found around is gunned down.

Fung Clovis and many other youths from areas declared as “red zones” happens to be targets by armed groups who use them as food suppliers and are also targeted by the regime for harboring armed groups and providing them  safe locations for their hide out.

Kom, as we report which makes up Boyo Division is in total chaos. Government troops have raided the whole area to fish out two generals of the separatist forces. We are talking of RK and Co. In the course, there is serious gun battle, burning of houses, wanton arrests and outright killing.

What has caused many to flee areas closer to said camps and villages harboring the said gang.

Briefly put that is the ugly face of the war situation in Anglophone Cameroon which generated from a pacific strike organized by teachers and lawyers seeking for justice in 2016 that has grown into a full scale war in demand for liberation and sovereign rights that has brought the English speaking economy to a stand still and the two English speaking Regions ungovernable with schools permanently locked and over a hundred thousand displaced.

Deepening Anglophone Crisis Part X: So Far How Many Guns have Been Seized, Amba Over Powering Military?

The pockets of resistance from all indication recently is going out of hands and growing into full proportion. Of recent times the depending Anglophone liberation war of independence or better still separatists illicit acts to restore nationhood has recorded a lot of casualties both in the military and the Amba camps respectively.

The sporadic hit operations carried out by the separatists forces of late, you can bear with this Reporter have been very instrumental and has taken the lives of many agile Cameroonian military. We are talking of the Galim  Bamali, Lasin and Ndop raids by General “No Pity” and the recent attacks effected in kom, Bali and the South West Region at Large. In all of these suicide attacks or raids, the said restorations forces have harvested quite a good number of AK47s until General No Pity is now carrying around a “Chain cutter” . What a frightening and horrible situation.

The of late suicide acts of rebellion of the said forces is now playing motivation for other groups who have taken upon themselves to carry out serial attacks on Police post, gendarmerie Brigarde, mix military control check points and arm reserved stores.

The result is total fear and confusion as the war rages on to the detriment of the common man and innocent souls perishing daily.

For how long will these hit, kill and carry operations continue? The number of guns now in the hands of civilians leaves the present situation precarious and full of tension.

Is government not in the know? Why are they silent? Where are we heading to ? Threats, tension left and right? Who should be held accountable? For how long will this last are the one billion questions parading the minds of the common man as they live at the mercy of stray bullets from cross fire at any time.

The amount of guns now in the hands of those boys leaves a lot to question and doubt how soon the war will end, who is winning and who will win the war.

Immediate emergency actions are needed as the separatists force in their hide outs close up to town with multiplied arms in their keeping. Which is what is exactly giving them courage to exceedingly go beyond.

In Anglophone Cameroon you will bear with this Reporter  that  almost every body is afraid of his own shadow. The time for government to change strategy or look for another option is now or continue burying his forces who are now helpless in the hands of these armed groups they are fighting unidentified,. As the hide in the crowd, using the same people as informants to attack and carry.

The improvised explosives by the same gang is further aggravating or making worst of the situation and impedes military penetration into their hide outs with or without amor cars.

Why and why has it suddenly become this way? Cameroonians still have a long way to go about this. What is the way forward, North West and South West Regions to be frank are fast growing ungovernable…God have mercy!

Saying, “ensuring cross border security, the form of the state and it’s Territorial integrity  is both countries responsibility”.
These, he stated in firm and acute terms in the Presidential exchange that ensued between him and the Cameroon’s Sectary of State as he gave him details of developments on the ground concerning social peace and development in Cameroon in the face of the Anglophone crisis and Boko Haram disorder up North.Noting most especially that both countries share a common challenges which requires collective efforts.
Hear Femi Adesin the President's Spokesman “the President noted that Nigeria and Cameroon share historical ties and common borders which according to him makes it imperative for the two countries to look out for each other's wellbeing.

Presidential couples 2021 brief private Stay Abroad: “Going to Come Back Historically?

“A Journey to no Return? Going for good? Going to fortify? Cabinet shakeup most eminent? Are the brain storming questions rocking the minds of political pundits and analysts as they watch Cameroon's Presidential couples fly out of the nsimalen international airport after several months of no private trips abroad and most especially now, in the heart of COVID-19 phase III.

It has horribly been a while since Madame Chantal and Biya took off time for a private stay or trip abroad as often as it was the case in the past years. Just that in itself and his recent trip abroad in the heart of Corona calls for concerns as it brings to mind many issues to question or brainstorm on. Some of which may land one into troubles.

“if truly days are numbered” then every human action in the cosmos is governed and coordinated by astral celestial forces within the frame works of time and timings. As we report, at this particular point in time in the political history of Cameroon at the Cross road, with multiple problems with the Boko Haram movement up Nord, and the Anglophone crisis in the North west, and South west Regions respectively, plus the unstable socio, economic and political climate,  added to major security challenges facing the country, “only leaves the nation in the hands of the mercy of time and Divine Grace. "Time has to tell” as a local proverbial saying holds.

The time may be soon and most likely now that the Presidential couples have taken upon themselves to leave the Presidential palace reluctantly.

The world for the past month have recorded quite a lot of shocking incidents, which are indicators and bad signs for all countries as the wind of havoc blows across Africa.

Whether we like it or not everyone, every Nation has his or her own turn under the cosmic orders we stand helpless before. The great fountain wheel is turning at a very high velocity around Africa,  and where it  is taking the Cameroon situation to only God Knows? For the helpless masses.

In the phase of all these multiple challenges and cosmetic arrangements, it is most likely that the future is bleak as Days of agony blooms. Shine and open your eyes, the hand writing is clearly written on the wall. Nigeria mourns a great Prophet, which country is next in line for such a predicament to follow? Only God knows and God's time is the Best.

The “Great mystery of Going and coming with African leaders has a similar picture” let's wait and see the next portrait God is about to paint in the African scene of a leader coming and going or going to come. I rest my case….from the Prophetic.
