Whistle Blowing: “Climate Finance and accountability” Effects and Impact on Climate Change and Resilient Actions.

Justice to climate finance and accountability for now and tomorrow to combat climate crisis has a major role to play. What we are saying in this opinion for social change, is just like the UN Sectary General Antonio Guterres recent call for concern decrying illicit practices, insufficient and lukewarm attitudes toward the fight against climate change.

Fellow audiences, dear fervent readers of “Climate Bulletin” our weekly ANNOUNCER, this analysis is influenced or motivated by Guterres last Climate media outing a week ago and what this climate media Expert and ambassador has witnessed so far in the crusade and campaigns against climate change.

What we are saying is that “let what happened to finances meant to redress world common call for concern in the past not happen to climate funds and should not be swallowed by funny seminars and misdirected by the very same persons in “World governing Bodies” in charge of managing finances.

Funds and finance for climate ventures and initiatives must reach the grassroots and must be handled and managed by community based organizations and not chauffeur driven experts who in their usual style have learned to convince hierarchy while they dabble with funds meant for meaningful actions on the ground, questioning the credibility and authenticity of actors on the ground offering selfless and loyal service to nature without any recourse.

The advent of global warming and scientific evolution has caused and called for several summits whose outcome has remained on papers and has taken mankind to no where, knowing very well that we are directly affected and are the cause factor.

A lot, why not  too much bad fate is going  on in the management of emergency crisis around the world. Why because of subjective approach and poor management style of finance.

It is on records and many are aware of all the resolutions of all the (COPs) I mean climate summits which has taken place around the world plus the Paris agreement on climate mitigation and compensation which has yielded no meaningful fruits today.

Let us be honest to ourselves, COPs set and discuss their agenda not with parties directly concerned but with persons out to defend individual interest in a common call for concern sessions.

Records must be set straight and finances channeled to the right quarters to get meaningful results. It is not for nothing of late that Africans are asking for compensation or should be compensated to redress the situation because they have a very instrumental role to play.

Yet, some westerners and diabolic Africans in high offices who believe more in their pockets take delight or advantage in playing with words, policies and resolutions for selfish interest.

What I am saying, should not be miss quoted, or misconstrued a clear cut statement on accounts must be made, a budget stated and disbursed without strings attached for work to be carried out by the grassroot effectively.

Conferences, seminars and summits have sucked and drained a lot of budgets meant for emergency actions and interventions.

That you and I know and it is most solicited as a step forward by “agents” in those big offices who feed fat out of the programs.

Time for practical and realistic actions is now and thank God it has come to the notice of the Sectary General of the United Nations who has vowed to no longer take it lying down. The time for total overhauling to redefine climate actions is now.

It should not only end as empty threats but must go beyond normal sanctions and penalties to arrest of organizations and parties toiling around with Climate funds and finances.

Climate reality entails tree planting, nature based solutions and biodiversity conservation not  literature and sensational approach by crocks handling climate finances.

Budget misappropriation, mismanagement, deviation and embezzlement is what has slowed world emergency actions and efforts. This should not be allowed in the climate situation or predicament we are finding ourselves today.

Too much “grammar” is posing as a major threat or challenge to the commoner who is there carry out the tree planting exercise or solution action. Give the resources and wait for the results, a peasant Farmer is naturally honest and judicious in manage his or her resources meant for farming where he or she earns her living.

Join me sing the chorus as we add our voice to that of the UN Sectary General Simon Guetterres call on actors and nation to be accountable on climate finances management and judicious actions to combat climate change.

It’s high time pretenders pretending to be fixers in the house of world governing Bodies for emergency to be send packing for enlightened, reliable and honest ones to take over.

Time has proven and disproven those currently handling management. I stand to be disproven if the UN Sectary General did not come out hitting hard on the subject matter.

Only a genuine and sincere summits is the only way out of climate crisis supported by frank actions and honest efforts by reliable agents and agencies.

Hear the UN Sectary General Antonio Guetterres lamenting “I am very worried about where the world stands on climate. Countries are far off track in meeting climate promises and commitments.  I see a lack of ambition.  A lack of trust.  A lack of support.  A lack of cooperation. And an abundance of problems around clarity and credibility.

The climate agenda is being undermined.  At a time when we should be accelerating action, there is backtracking.  At a time when we should be filling gaps, those gaps are growing.

Meanwhile, the human rights of climate activists are being trampled.  The most vulnerable are suffering the most.  Current policies are taking the world to a 2.8°C temperature rise by the end of the century”.
