Make It Happen For Cameroon And Africa

Practical Computer Education by Coni T. Tawong is launching a campaign to raise funds on Indiegogo and is soliciting for donations and raising funds to enable a reprint of this textbook. It has been used to train hundreds of students in vocational schools for example in Tobby Vision Computers and thousands in Secondary Schools have used it and a lot more demands are coming to us from those who need to use it to integrate ICTs, prepare for the GCE ‘O’ level, Certificat d’Aptitude Professionnelle (CAP) in Cameroon where the need for it is very high.
In 2011 the author and his team of seven students published the book with financial assistance from Mgr. Ronald Hishon, Short Close, Poole, Dorset England.
We submitted Practical Computer Education to the book committee of the Ministry of Secondary Education during which studies the textbook was approved for use in Anglo-Saxon secondary schools in Cameroon during the 2012/2013 academic year (see national textbook gazette at www.minesec.gov.cm ).
Anxious, to see our students comply with 21st century education, we had launched our fund raising campaign to raise $1,200 which will enable us reprint more copies as we have carried out a gesture of five hundred printed copies for gratis to secondary schools which have a laboratory and offer computer science.
We shall appreciate whoever gives a helping hand to this project to improve the computer literacy in this society.

Panic Grips the Judiciary as Anglophone Lawyers Unite to Fight the French System *Through a Common Law Conference under the theme “Securing a Better Future for the Common Law in Cameroon”

“A Common Enemy” learning from the bitter past experience, working in dispersed ranks to fight the Francophone system and the prejudice exercised in their function as appointed officials at the level of the Judiciary with no major outcome in the past, have decided to be more united, strong and vibrant as the saying goes that united we stand divided we fall.
That is why the all Anglophone Lawyers meeting was convened in Bamenda to chart new ways forward in order to deal with their French brothers who were and are bent at all cost to assimilate the whole system and why not swallow the Anglophone system, call it the common Law which they now go about calling it a “sub system”.
The meeting far from the exceptional intension to come up with a common law bar, as interpreted by their frightened francophone brothers to challenge the Cameroon Bar or the French system which is gradually and steadily being introduced out rightly, comes up at a time where Anglophones have been subjected to serious marginalization from their francophone brothers both at the level of the exercise of function and the respect of court decorum giving no room for court liberal rights.
The importance of the meeting could only be best assessed by the number of lawyers of Anglophone extraction who showed up in their numbers over one thousand putting together the full flesh and pupil lawyers in the Republic. All in flaring tempers saying, some sanity and order must be brought into the profession, hear them “the francophones will not keep dictating the pace at which the judiciary must function. They attempted the notary issue it failed woefully because we protested, they now resorted to appointing only francophone to Anglophone court or regions forcing us to be assimilated and do submissions only in French, which cannot work, an action we have decried severally and they think that we are joking. A good number of them recounted as the bad encounters faced in the exercise of their functions defending their clients.
The meeting is eventful and goes down the annals of history as a bold step and a major action at this point in time in history to strongly defend the course of Anglophone lawyers and their system in the face of the fast encroaching force of the French system which is out at all cost to erase the English law system call it the common law practice most especially in a situation where the Cameroon Bar is headed by a francophone Ni Kamga Jackson whose hands are tied and have tried to no avail to arrest certain misgivings orchestrated by fellow brothers in the exercise of powers given to them in the face of flaring Anglophone lawyers who do not want their rights tampered with at any level.
In the meeting playing host at Bamenda, on the 9th of May 2015, a number of related issues apart from the marginalization subject, like raising the dignity of a lawyer, putting in of some sanity and ethics in the exercise of function and above all the need for maximum cooperation and collaborations to fight any stumbling block to a smooth practice of law in Cameroon without favor were handled.
Not to make emphasises, all the big names you can imagine under the law in Cameroon and lawyers of reputable standing were there without mentioning names because the roll will be too long.

Press Stop! World Echoes Newspaper Join the Fight against Boko Haram

Invite Cameroonians to Contribute Spiritually, Financially & Morally to Fight Boko Haram
For quite some time now, Cameroonians have been contributing massively to chase away the insurgency Boko Haram, a move which is highly laudable and the purpose or the gesture or exercise should not be misconstrued or looked upon as political ambush.
It is a civic right and responsibility of each Cameroonian born of that fatherland at home or abroad to contribute spiritually, financially and even morally without reservation for “it is sweet and honourable to protect or die for ones fatherland” dulce et decorum est propatriae more” a common saying we borrow from one of Lord Tenyson’s patriotic poems for the “Fallen” in the book titled selected poems of Tenyson.
As a living witness to the havoc wild terrorist actions has caused and cost the World, we of the Media Organ World Echoes Newspaper join Cameroon government to call on Cameroonians to respect government’s call to rally behind the military by supporting them morally, financially and spiritually to kick out the Islamic terrorist sect Boko Haram at the grand north threatening to absorb the entire North and other neighboring Regions.
If World Echoes has joined government to call on the population to contribute their widow’s might to chase away Boko Haram, it is because of the heartlessness of actors diabolic in mission. We have seen or heard how this terrorist group went as far as abducting over 200 school girls who have been under hostage for a year and some months now. At one time, World Echoes gathered that the head of the Boko Haram announced that they have initiated and trained the girls to be suicide bombers others sold out for marriage, heady ones beheaded.

World Echoes Newspaper Joins the Crusade through its Trinity National Press Icons Award slated for the 27the of June at the All Saint's Parish Bayelle Pope John Paul II Using the Crucifix through her Laureates to Edify the World Arrested by three major forces that of Nature's unpredictability, Terrorism and 21st century Killer diseases.
Accredited WINNERS OF THE AWARD SHALL BE AMBASSADORS SELF MADE BY THEIR ACHIEVEMENT IN THEIR RESPECTIVE WORKS OF LIFE TO CHAMPION THE CRUSADE FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD WHICH IS WHAT POPE FRANCIS IS BENT ON MULTIPLYING AT ALL COST.  FROM THE CROSS CAME DEATH, FROM THE CROSS THERE WAS RESURRECTION AND FROM THE CROSS CAME SALVATION AND WHY NOT REDEMPTION. THIS YEAR INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ACTING TO THE WILL OF GOD, WE DECIDED TO WRATH  FAVOR FROM THE GRACIOUS HANDS OF THE TRINITY. A POWER BELIEVE ME WHICH CANNOT BE MEASURED SO JOIN THE CHORUS AND BE BLESSED ABUNDANTLY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS ! Say Amen if you were touched and add a comment

Abducting girls aside, at one time the Boko Haram elements kidnapped the wife of Vice Prime Minister, the Chinese, French men, reverend sisters and fathers of Canadian origin demanding ransoms running to billions of FCFA.
Given the fact that Boko Haram is a Nigerian affair, but has decided to out rightly extend her tentacles to other countries like Chad, Cameroon and the Central African Republic, Cameroonians should put behind their Political difference and join government massively to contribute morally, financially and spiritually to chase away the terrorists once and for all.
World Echoes is pleased that the Cameroonian Army including that of Chad, Niger and Nigeria are already winning the war. This is seen from the fact that for over five months today, Boko Haram have not been heard of and their surprise attacks.
Beside, the Nigerian military has announced to follow the terrorist Boko Haram right to their hide out in the thick Nigerian forest capturing recently a tunnel that can host about 30000 people and harbor 200 vehicles.
Equally the President Elect of Nigeria Gen. Buhari has promised to wipe away Boko Haram while African Union has also promised to join the fight together with mounted actions going on at the level of the international Criminal court of what actions to take against this sect. consequently Cameroonians cannot remain indifferent rather than mobilize massively to join the army fight this common enemy.

Stop the Witch Hunting in Gov’t: Who Wants Prof. Agbor Tabi Head

The recent mysterious happenings around the life of the assistant sectary general at the Presidency, Agbor Tabi leaves much to be desired with the suspicion that somebody some where apparently a South West elite wants his head since from all indication the next Prime Minister is to come from that Region with the new government in the offing and he stands prominent.
It all started when he was reported to have openly collapsed during a patriotic march in Buea after the funds raised and mobilized to assist the Cameroon military fighting Boko Haram in the grand North.
Although he is said to have collapsed from a malaise, many are of the opinion that he is being witch hunted by some power hungry south west elite who want to be appointed Prime Minister and see his presence a major bulwark especially as it is noticed with major dismay that Yang Philemon has been in the Star building for too long.

Beside the collapse, two weeks ago, newspapers carried articles on a leaked government where in, Agbor Tabi’s name did not feature which was suppose to be the first all things being equal for the misplaced  juxtaposition of names on the various Ministries in that list of the said new government which leaked.
The Prime Minister position by right and merit, Political pundits thinks belongs to Prof. Agbor Tabi given his long political experience in government. More so, most Cameroon Prime Ministers passed through the sectary general at the Presidency of the Republic and of course, there is no gain saying that Agbor Tabi has been assistant sectary general at the Presidency for over five years and consequently deserves the Prime Minister position.
World Echoes Newspaper without mentioning names gathered that some frontline South West Politicians are witch hunting Agbor Tabi, others even filter false and misleading information to the Press about Agbor Tabi to run him down and injure his political career, why puncture his ambitions.
However, there is a dictum that the bear that is to get ripe must ripe, according to this dictum, one can surely posit that Agbor Tabi’s turn as Prime Minister must come to pass while his detractors may meet their doom and might never be even sectary of state let alone being Prime Minister. There is no need belaboring the point because the havoc was already caused by the leaked purported new government. Which no right thinking Cameroonian will think that kind of a scandalous list can be maintained or subjected to adjustment. In effect the leaked list was meant to read the minds of Cameroonians and for the Biya regime to know the “eye servants” in the house in order to know who to boot or appoint. Surprisingly people celebrated in their miserable thought with the firm conviction that even if it is what they may be the ones? Day dreamers as if they don’t know how appointments are made in Cameroon!

333 N.West Women Confess not Haven’t Carried out HIV Test

The supervisors of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health services CBCHS, of the HIV free North West project has commended the impact created through outreach activities in 2014.
In the supervisors meeting held at CBC women’s hall Nkwen recently, to congratulate team members, for work well done in 2014 and plan for better results in 2015, the supervisors prided selves of the fact that the workers rallied over 333pregnant women who had never done HIV test before. They resolved to intensify efforts to ensure that the over 333 pregnant women do their HIV test for the first time as fast as possible.
Beside, the supervisors also celebrated the creation of 10 child play centers, equipped to meet the desired goals and the fact that these centers will do outreach for antiretroviral therapies to reduce loss to follow up and rates of defaulters.
The principal objective of the supervisor’s meeting, this reporter was told, was to ensure that a smooth progress of program activities during this new quarter and New Year 2015.  Despite all the hard work on the terrain, the supervisors were still not able to meet up the expected number of pregnant women targeted. However, they expressed their determination to explore all available means to improve on their services given a reason d’etre for such a crucial meeting for supervisors to brainstorm on possible opportunities to improve services and suggest ideas that can influence the increase of uptake.
The supervisors had time to highlight the achievements in the previous quarter as they confirmed the presence of international centers for AIDS prevention, ICAP registers in all sites while recognizing the wide usage of improvement quality questions.
Whereas efforts to intensify service improvement were achieved in 2014, supervisors reiterated the importance of the 2015 work plan developed by centre for disease control and prevention, CDC, NACC and CBCHS as it gets into use.
