Scandal at UBa; Land Grabbing VC, Prof. AKenji Dares Mayor Tanjong, Over Land in the Municipality

-Charges Mayor for Outright Trespass into University Land

-Building Market Sheds inside University Campus

-Questions the Authority of Tubah Population Over the Usage of their Own Land

The VC Chancellor of the University of Bamenda Prof. Theresa Nkuo who doubles as Ex- Cameroon CWA chairlady for your attention stepped on the toes of Tubah Mayor last week and by extension spoiled working relation with Elites of the said Sub-Division and the Population of the four villages that make up Tubah( Bambui, Bambili, Kedjum Keku, Kedjum Ketingoh).

Prof. Theresa Nkuo Akenji VC Chancellor University of Bamenda

Crooks of the Matter;

She complained to the Prime Minister, through the DO of Tubah, and the SDO of Mezam accusing Mayor Tanjong Martin of Tubah Council for building market sheds inside University Land and for disturbing the quiet studying environment of students. Which according to the Mayor are false accusations and blatant lies meant to tarnish the hard earned reputation of the Mayor who has been working day and night to face lift his municipality and to create a quiet comfortable study environment for the students and a suiting habitat for all.

Reaction of the Mayor:

As a patriotic Cameroonian, a resident Mayor, with all the risks involved, the Lord Mayor of Tubah Council Tanjong Martin responding to the VC Chancellor of the University of Bamenda Prof Theresa NKuo who by passed her person and went as far as framing him up to the Prime Minister, called a press conference on Tuesday the 26th of April 2022 and exploded.

In anger and firm terms, the Mayor expressed surprise about the VC’s behavior and false accusations. Denying that he is not building the 34 market sheds authorized by a whole Regional follow up commission in  the University Campus. A project he emphasized was almost a kilometer away from the University Campus and belt in conformity with the law.

The Mayor questioned what moral authority the VC had over land and the exploitation of land in his municipality knowing very well how the Mayor personally fought to secure study space for students at Mushong Mabuh and CCAST Bambili in the then days of students explosion, not to talk of the main access, and second access roads to the University, water and other social amenities.

To the Mayor, all these sacrifices to the University for all this while has meant nothing to the VC Chancellor. What interest the VC is her Land not the land of the people of Tubah she came and met until she is now questioning the authority of the same people who voluntarily gave her the land.

Ending the press briefing that took Media men and women to the site, he appealed to the high powers that be that in the event of appointing officials to head institutions in the University of Bamenda, the government should consider appointing sons and daughters of the soil who  will governe and administer with the fear of the Lord and the people, not greedy and out rightly pompous individuals.

What the VC’s False accusations has provoked and landed her into;

Not only has her false accusations meted on the Mayor entangled her in a mess, but in a deep pit. The issue at stake, has come to completely spoil her working relation with the council, elites of Tubah, the authorities in place and by extension the population who are already clamoring for her sacking.

From all indication, the bad steps she took, misled by the Director of NAHPI Prof. Fidelis Cho-Ngwa was biting more than she can swallow and stepping on the toes of a lion.

Where she is, it is obvious, she will be summoned in the days ahead for serious questioning and the public should not be surprised if the elites gang up or team up against her. Petitions and joint motions calling on her sacking should normally be in the offing and in the course, quite a lot will be brought to the lime light about her mal-gestion for the past years all because she dared Tanjong a fearless son of the soil of Tubah.

Land and tradition in the North West

Women, by their very nature are not supposed to talk about land according to grass field tradition. And in no occasion does an individual dispute land with the givers and the owners. Which is the case today with Akenji and the people of Tubah who willfully and freely gave all their land to the University and she has put them to questioning today. Going as far as disputing land with the Landlord means Akenji mean business up at UBa.

The Future

There is no future as bleak and blear as the one lying ahead of the VC because she has challenged the last person who stood by her in Tubah, just by that simple error, she should be ready to face all the elites of Tubah because they are not people to tamper with. In fact the gods of Tubah has blindfolded Ma Akenji into an irrational decision, and plunged her into a deep blue sea.

Finally, the Akenji Era at the Helm of UBa

Tongues are still wagging and lot has been said about the lady in question and her administration self imposed on the University community of UBa by Yang.

What UBa has suffered in her hands, from public opinion is worst than the days of Prof Tafah Edokatt as VC. Affairs a suivre…..

Cameroon Sugar Company (SOSUCAM) Temporary Suspend Function

Assistant General Manager SOSUCAM Emmanuel Castells

-Sugar price Hike Most Likely in the Days Ahead

The Assistant General Manager of SOSUCAM Emmanuel Castells has made it abundantly clear in a Press release signed on the 22nd of April 2022 that the sole sugar producing company based in Mbandjock shall be temporary closed until some of the irregularities and lapses in management are brought under elaborate control.

The immediate motive for the call for temporal suspension of function dwells in the lapses that has since accompanied supply of fuel by contractors to the company.

The inconsistent supply of fuel of late, has handicapped the normal flow or trend of activities and has even disrupted the chain sequence in the extraction, production and distribution of end products.

That alone plus personnel management problems and unpaid accumulated bills has prompted the temporal suspension of the sugar production company.

Due to that, it is but automatic and absolutely normal that black market will set in soon in the economy and the price of sugar will abundantly grow high. Adding to the price hike that has since characterized goods of basic necessities and building materials not to talk of the great economic hardship everybody is facing. “Something is really going wrong somewhere and very soon we will hear SOSUCAM is on Auction sales”

Cameroon Teachers to Go on Indefinite Strike from the 25th of April 2022

That is until all the plights of teachers raised in 2017 are fully met by government. The reason d’etre is to cause government to meet completely the needs of teachers in the phase of multiple crisis facing the country.

It should be recalled that a plethora of  issues were raised to the Yang Philemon administration and ad-hoc Committee for teachers headed by his Excellency Prof. Ghogomo Paul in 2017 as a called for immediate actions to solve the Teachers and Lawyers pacific strike in 2016.

Which the two ad-hoc committees validated and gave a dateline to start meeting the expected needs of the two parties. As we report half of the half begged promises were not met and no concreted explanations or statement made by the state or the said Ministry in question to enlighten the teachers.

Which is the reason why the movement for “On a Trop Supporte” (OTS) and “Enough is Enough” (EIE) on the 22nd of April 2022 in Tibati, unanimously called for an indefinite nation wide strike and school boycott by teachers. Declaring no teaching for the time being, no participation in 20th May celebration and pedagogic meetings nor report submissions by teachers to hierarchy etc, till the plights of teachers are trashed completely.

This recent pressing call for pressing needs puts Prime Minister Dione Ngute and the Minister of Secondary education Dr. Nalova Lyonga and all Sectary of States plus Directors of Education to task.

What must be noted is that this call for strike by teachers comes to accompany piles of other threats of possible, eminent strike actions pending from all sectors or works of life in the country. “Cameroon is sick”

US Donates 800 Million Dollars to Ukraine to Counter Russian Force Dominance and Encroachment. Implications!

-War Lords and Mongers Gradually showing their Faces

-Japan, China, Korea, India on High Alert to Jump in For Russia

-World War III in the Offing

The news by US President Biden without mincing words fell like a bomb shell to the world, following the unset lukewarm attitude of  Western powers to retaliate as Russia multiplied destructive attacks on Kiev and killings.

It is now crystal clear that with the US President’s declaration on Thursday 21st April 2022 the US government is not in accord with Russian military attacks on Ukraine and are ready to auto finance Ukraine force to counter attack.

The motion, or the gesture in itself goes without questioning that the US would have loved to come in to join force with Ukraine officially to challenge Russian military might but Putin’s threats to unleash chemical and nuclear weapons is posing as a major threat.

In addition the allied forces behind Russia incase America, France and the rest of the world dares, has or is keeping allied powers stocked or tied to the spot.

The stakes are high but, who will hit first now that notorious Putin is determined with out any second thought to bombard the world.

The battle line is drawn, Russian allies are ready for the worst as inside Russian military Intel leaked  showing Putin in a video footage giving military orders for all launchers to be installed and programmed for release at any time if need be and if any country dares.

Eminent Strike: North West Councils to go on Rampage Against CNPS/NSIF Blockage of Accounts

Noel Alain Olivier Mekulu Director General of the National Social Insurance Fund NSIF

CNPS (National Social Insurance Fund) North West officials decision to block the accounts of Councils in the Region surviving by the special Grace of God has sparked quite a lot of confusion in Council management to an extent that it’s Mayors and staffs can bear it no more.

News avails that tension has mounted to an extent that they are all unanimously planning a general strike actions to hold CNPS officials hostage for helping to block the normal functioning of Councils struggling to survive in the midst of the Deepening Anglophone crisis.

It should be noted as we report that, no positive steps has been taken by CNPS to uplift the decision with their bankers after the petition by the Union of Councils and the meeting held calling on their attention to the great havoc their actions are causing.

Speaking to most of the affected Councils and staffs, most have decried such a decision onto councils struggling to survive with the confusion in the North West Region.

According to them, the intention to go on rampage will be the best way to cause government to act fast and listen to the plights of most of their Mayors and what they are going through running Councils without revenue collection sources and quarterly payment.

Others wander and are almost tempted to conclude that it is an indirect way by Yaounde to punish Councils operating in Bamenda clandestinely instead of their Council areas or Municipality for security reasons just like teachers.

Which is what they will not take lightly for fear that it may become instituted since Cameroon only listens to the language of strike action.

Coming back to Bamenda CNPS Boss, the decision to block Council accounts should be on instructions from above caring less of it’s outcome.

The general outcry is that CNPS is saying people and Councils are not in order, are they also in order? Following all the scandalous mismanagement and misappropriation reports that have of late been in the news about the system and it’s officials.

Hard to bear, if Mayors and Council workers are to honor their rendezvous before this month end, then, it will pose more as an additional threat to the peace and security in the Region which is even growing worst daily.

Latest Update on The Macron and Le Pen Clash Ahead of Sunday Polls in France

Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen have clashed over the far-right leader’s links with Russia in a live television debate ahead of the upcoming election.

The incumbent president said Ms Le Pen was “dependent on Putin” and called Russia her “banker” as he launched into fierce criticism over a loan taken from a Russian bank in 2014. The National Rally leader denied her independence was compromised by this.

The two candidates also clashed over energy - in particular renewables - and Muslim headscarves in public spaces, with the Mr Macron saying Ms Le Pen’s plans to ban them would start a “civil war”.

Mr Macron, a pro-European centrist, has been enjoying a growing and significant lead over Ms Le Pen, an anti-immigration nationalist, according to polls. But the result is expected to be closer than five years ago.

Bookmakers said more than a quater of French voters were waiting for the debate to decide how - or whether - to vote in the final round of the presidential election on Sunday.

KeyNotes From the Debate;

  • Mr Macron dissected each of his opponent’s economic proposals to show the difficulties Ms Le Pen would have in implementing and financing her manifesto.
  • A heated exchanges took place over Ms Le Pen’s links to Russia. Mr Macron said she “depends” on Vladimir Putin, but Ms Le Pen said she had not been able to get a loan in France and was “a completely free, independent woman”.
  • Mr Macron took aim at Le Pen’s assertion that she wanted France to keep its place within the EU while reforming the bloc. “It is a project which dares not speak its name - and that is to leave Europe.”
  • Mr Macron called Ms Le Pen a “climate sceptic” to which she replied by calling him a “climate hypocrite”.
  • Ms Le Pen spoke about wanting to ban Muslim headscarves in public places. Mr Macron said this would create a “civil war”.

Hidden Agendas! What have Become of ? The Presidential Reconstruction Plan et all,

-The Ad-hoc Committees for Lawyers and Teachers

-The National Solidarity Fund

-The National Humanitarian Program

-The DDR

-The Grand National Dialogue,

-The Special Status

-The Effective Decentralization plan,

-The Regional Council and the Respective house of Chiefs,

-All the Grande Realizations

-The Regime in question and all the cosmetics Arrangements

The so much noise that accompanied all has died a natural death. “Wind screen propaganda” as lives continue to be wasted barbarically in the NoSo and some heartless individuals keep playing the tortoise with words while those on the ground suffer penury from it’s very own brothers.

“Yes” Justice should go before peace but should we plunge ourselves into macabre acts to justify our, your course. What should even prompt somebody living in peace to go and provoke forces of doom from the land of the death.

“Yes” again, we never knew it will turn out to be the way it is “BUT” now is the big question? And we shall keep leaking our wounds and the situation will live on because there shall be no peace for the wicked and the greedy.

Lives no longer have value in the NoSo mark my words and we shall all be held accountable one day for the Good, the Bad and the Urgly.

Bite and Blow politic, excessive manipulation and propaganda is what has landed Cameroon where she is today in the hands of countless projects better still “chopping arrangements”.

That is why in the phase of all the multiple crisis situations facing Cameroon’s security, economy and counter offensive governance, the regime in place is yet to assess or define what major role all the giant projects conceived so far are playing in the phase of excruciating financial crisis.

“In borrowed robs” has the regime been moving and crooks have taken advantage of the good intent of the head of head state to cook up deals in the name of policies to redress the situation.

A program is only worthy if it meets it's expected goals and meaningless if it does not help redress a situation and rather magnify. We are all living witnesses and can best testify that all the programs conceived and instituted since 2016 as a result of the eruption of the lawyers and teachers pacific strike that culminated to the Anglophone Crisis has not helped the circumstance or present dispensation.

Better still the Deepening crisis, we are all aware and much aware that the much noise made about the fall outs of the Grand National Dialogue and all other fabricated policies have died a natural death.

Why because they are still to meet the expected needs of the demanding situation that need relevant and appropriate solutions not half begged policies with limping financial means.

Does it serve the purpose to put up structures and institutions without means to run them or set up units without the adequate personnel with the technical know how to manage them?

Every thing must not be politic and should not always be politicized. CPDM policies and eye service governance has spoiled Cameroon, not to talk of praise singing and praise singers. That is, the gurus in question who are doing all in their best to gain favor and trust of the head of state while trampling on the masses with fake agendas and deceitful structural adjustment plans.

Cameroon is where she is today it is because we have all helped  to spoil it. Any nation which is not belt on the fundamental pillars of truth is bound to perish. We have all contributed in the lies telling which is the immediate out come of the challenging situations or the trying moments we are going through today.

The whole nation is in a sinking ship and doom days are at hand, if it is not the case why is every thing going wrong and nothing is helping anything or situation.

Let us stop pretending, is there any credible opposition leader or political party in this country? Sincerely speaking if things were going on the way they were supposed to be going, will you be seating where you are complaining or crying?  Are we not feed up with the same people speaking the same language and dancing the same dance, too much of a thing is a disease.

Cameroon has passed through a series of trial attempts and suffered a lot of molestations and assaults, why not wounds from it’s own Ministers who have desecrated government and rendered her meaningless and bare before the public.

Reason why the center is no longer binding and that should be the more reasons why Anglophones have stood with all resilience of late to make apart of the unity pact. That alone, has since destabilized Cameroon to an irredeemable end.

The big question is; shall we keep on moving this way? Oh Lord! Have Mercy.

If the youths are crazy and wild today, it is because we have defined a bad future for them, with bad precedence, we have given them guns in their idle preoccupations,  thought them how to burn, loud, destroy, kill and they are now after our very own lives. “Dog Bite Master” hunter becomes hunted.

Cameroon: Standard Chartered Bank to Close it’s Subsidiaries in Africa to Focus on Fast Growing Markets

The British banking group Standard Chartered Bank announced on April 14, that it is withdrawing from seven countries in Africa and the Middle East. The group said it will soon close its subsidiaries in Cameroon, Angola, Gambia, Jordan, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe to focus on more profitable and faster-growing markets.

Standard Chartered Bank has been a small player in the Cameroonian banking sector for several years. In January 2022, for example, the banking institution granted CFA83.9 billion in credit to the economy, which represents only 1.94% of the market share. Data from Cameroon's central bank showed that Standard Chartered Bank is outperformed by Afriland First Bank, which holds 20.83% of the market share. However, the British group is doing better than the American Citi Bank (which controls 1.63% of the market), the now majority state-owned bank UBC (0.67%), and the state-owned BC-PME (0.58%). With just over CFA244 billion of deposits recorded in January 2022, Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon is also lagging in the ranking. In relative terms, the bank had a market share of only 3.91% over the period, although still better than Citi Bank (1.23%) or UBC (1.80%).

Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon has made many changes in recent years, which, according to some observers, already suggested the possibility of an exit from the country. The most recent was the decision to suspend service to individuals and focus more on services to businesses.

According to official data, services to individuals represented only 5.73% of the bank’s clientele, whose deposits were then largely dominated by private companies (55.59%) and the central public administration (21.39%). Curled Cameroon Business News.

Barbarism Most Amplified: Prison Warders Most Targeted as Anglophone Liberation War Deepens

Mr Doh Jerome Sectary of State for Penitentiary

“Thinking Time” This Reporter, is sure most absolutely that after the tragic scene that took place on Tuesday the 12th of April 2022 along Bui stretch which saw the gruesome murder of four Prison Warders after physical torture, cutting off their heads there after, sad memories of what happened in the first place at the infancy stage of the Revolution in 2017 along Bafut, Wum road should be coming back to the minds of our diverse audiences vividly how a Prison Warder’s body parts were decapitated and mutilated, eyes gorged out from it’s sockets, head cut off etc.

Florence Ayafor’s situation, also comes out glaring, who was tortured and slaughtered to death in Pinyin when the national dialogue was on course in Yaounde (2019) by separatists forces,  making the abominable act most pronounce and outstanding because she was the first lady in question, female Prison warder victim to fall into such a pathetic and horrifying shock and it took the Penitentiary family time to accommodate the agony.

Just like the sacrilegious and bloody one which just happened in Bui and saw a Prison Warder General falling victim and four others in the hands of armed gangs a notorious one for that matter.

The mystery in the whole show is that all scenes look alike and happened almost at the same time, along the road and at the same frequency or speed. Meaning all the orchestrated killings with negotiations ongoing for all the situational crimes did not take up to two hours and the bodies of all the victims were left lifeless with all body parts mutilated.

The one Billion Dollar question in every man’s lips is, why only Prison Warders in a similar situation, victims of circumstances? When they are just a para military corps, a correcting unit for that matter. Even the army and the BIR who are the elite corps causing great havoc have not suffered the fate Prison Warders have undergone.

Maybe something must be done fast to have things right and back on rail, before something happens more grievous or become an instituted tradition in the Penitentiary family.  "Sorry, if it is recalling, I am just thinking aloud as usual, and pronouncing the deep things of humankind and the mystery surrounding ordinary things. I rest my case…..as we go about fact findings for your kind reading attention.

Fon of Bambalang, 127 Days Under Amba Captivity; Death or Alive?

-Cruelty and Barbarism Magnified in the NoSo: Fon of Bambalang Molested to Death and Buried?

In a shallow hole in one of the detention forests where he was held in captivity after over  five months of continues transfer by separatists forces from one Division, village (Ngoketunjia, Bui, Boyo etc) to another to hide evidence and avoid the wrath of the people?

The people’s speculation on the passing on of the Fon of Bambalang H.R.H Shomitang Kavin the son of late Fon Governor Fosi Joseph Yakun-Ntaw is conclusively gradually becoming a reality.

Reality in the true sense of it that, just like DO Namata of Batibo, the N.W Regional Delegate of social affairs, the Six Delegates in Ndian  et all who were kidnapped respectively in 2017, 2020 and their case or matter died a natural death or given no natural attention, that is how the Fon of Bambalang kidnapped on the 7th of December 2021 “mandat” is gradually burning and the flames to be seen nowhere or the smoke.

The Pioneer President of the North West House of Chief as we write dabbling with assumptions and uncertainty, for sure is begging for life if at all his soul is not living onto Glory already.

What we are saying is that probability is very low for the said Fon to be alive after going through all forms of molestation, rough rides and movement from one forest to another on bikes and at times on foot. Looking at and mindful of his precarious health situation. Just the trauma in captivity is enough to give him cardiac arrest that can knock him down at any time.

Coming back to those who have been keeping him, if the good intend was there to hand him back to his people and government, they would have long done so as information avails that all what his captors demanded as ransoms were given.

All complied and if he has not been released, it means there is another higher hand controlling the boys. Which is certainly from America where we hear information avails that, that is where the rightful owner of the thrown of Bambalang lives ( Chose a verifier).

The silence of Bambalang people and the gods of the land speaks volume about the true status of Fon Kevin on the thrown of that kingdom.

At this juncture every one is confused but at the center of confusion there must be a head way and that head way is already seen demonstrated at all levels as his absence has not halted activities of the house of Chief or are the people of Bambalang not going about their activities, talk less of those who have made of it their chop farm, not to talk of those Fons who have taken advantage of his absence in office to be gallivanting in supreme corridors of powers at home and abroad for their selfish ends.

It is crystal clear that the absence of the Fon whisked off some times ago is no longer news what beats the imagination of the people or social media pundits is, why is “No Pity” in question who took him not saying anything any longer about him? Why has no video circulated for this short while?  All indicators of bad signs and impending doom. If at all it has not already happened.

Every one knows that if it were prayers and fasting, Fon Kevin would have long been handed back to his people. Hope not yet also lost completely, the cry of the people is also that God should keep him alive with all the torments.

That was on Friday the 8th of April 2022 at the Bemenda central Prisons boulevard where in a colorful ceremony full of pomp and Fanfare, members of the supreme corps, call it better still the correcting center decorated it’s assiduous workers named and decreed by the state a month ago.

The exercise, a very symbolic one for that matter of the paramilitary corps, brought together all the constituted corps of the Region to witness and be part of the landmark event.

The laureates were (16)  in number of the 2017 batch from ENAP, two from the Regional Delegation of Penitentiary and (14) fourteen others from the Bamenda central Prisons in all assorted ranks.

Who for the past years have won the admiration of the state through their loyal services to the Ministry of Justice to earn promotion.

Speaking to the Press at the strictly very historic military ceremony, that saw decorations and a military parade, the Regional Delegate of Penitentiary for the North West Gen. kigha Theodore, hailed celebrants of the day, encouraging them to be more committed and judicious in their correcting services to inmates for the social welfare of the nation.

The Registrar in chief of the Bamenda Central Prisons Ayuke Bernard Agbor host of the ceremony proper on his part extended a word of gratitude to his honorable Minister, Sectary of State Doh Gerome for the epaulets granted and awarded to staffs under him in recognition of their selfless services to the prisons center and by extension to the state.

Snap shots, Collective and private celebration in the respective homes of the guests of honor for the day crowned the symbolic military occasion.
