Bamenda City Council, Now has a New Finance Controller

In the person of Sunday Richard a seasoned specialized tax controller and expert, former Mezam Division Finance Controller.

He was installed and handed over office on Friday the 23rd of April 2022 at the SDO Mezam’s esplanade in a high profile ceremony full of pomp and Fanfare.

The ex-checker takes over from Bernard Njoh another old specialized tax controller who has served the city council for almost five years and now moves to Douala in the same capacity.

Sunday Richard’s coming into the finance Control office of the city council, marks another crucial phase in the history of finance administration and control in the city of Bamenda.

Yaounde Finance officials cum the representative of the Minister of Finance Louis Paul Motaze stressed the seasoned specialized controller, has the moral responsibility and obligation to continue where his predecessor left the affairs of the city council control office in strict respect of the law following laid down and instituted policies of the law governing the control of finance resources of each fiscal year.

He shall control, coordinate and help draft the city council’s budget, implement and above all  establish a balance sheet of the income and expenditure of the city council every year.

The representative of the City Council Mayor Ndoh David, on a special note thanked the Minister of finance for his maximum collaboration and timely intervention on issues that concern financial resources and packages through his finance agents and experts. He also seized the opportunity to thank the outgoing finance controller while welcoming the new one with all hope and joy.

The new finance controller Sunday Richard, who is a seasoned pedagogue and a graduate from the specialized school of accounting in Cameroon on his part, speaking to the press after the ceremony promised to do his best as usual and desires just the maximum collaboration and understanding between him, the vote holder and city council staffs.
