Editorial:WORLD ECHOES JOURNAL AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE (WEJACC) has Come to Stay

The for free Bi-monthly Journal which shall be distributed Nationally and internationally in GREEN and bold, is a product of WORLD ECHOES MEDIA GROUP published against the backdrop of the increasing need to rally all living forces on board the moving train of global chain actors committed to fighting climate change on all fronts and with all dispositions required.

Time has come under the ladder of mankind with all the trillion problems this planetary village is facing for the press not only in Cameroon but the world to take adequate dispositions to school and educate it’s population on the increasing needs for mobilized efforts or actions to combat climate change.

The immediate therapy or counter offensive to climate change, time has proven that the media is the fastest and the best solvent or solution. Through accelerated media reports, media awareness campaigns, crusades, press conferences and advocacy the people will be awakened and enlightened.

In fact WEJACC is a 21st century community based media approach to combat climate change through mobilized press report actions that will involve community volunteers, town criers, quarter heads, health personnel’s, chiefs, traditional Council heads, Councilors, politicians, parliamentarians, Senators, basically every body.

The rope to combat climate change has dragged on for long and we of World Echoes MEDIA GROUP have chosen and taken the initiative to cut the rope and bring everybody on board.

Time has come that we will use all necessary media apparatus to transfer, impact and convey the message or  war we are launching against climate change.

To the better understanding of our diverse audiences, we are launching WORLD WAR Four (WW IX) which is A Media war against climate change. The war will last, but with the help of media hopefully, climate change will be crushed.

Our humble appeal with this new product in the market that will circulate to the door steps of every community is that take delight to read the information and articles there in, transmit and apply to impact a life some where and some how.

WEJACC has come with the mission to Unite the Media in Cameroon to Combat climate change that is, “Cameroon Media United to Combat Climate Change”.

Through WEJACC, a network of Cameroon climate change reporters will be formed, Ambassadors against climate change groomed, community based reporters trained.

To make it inclusive WEJACC in collaboration with World Echoes resource and research center together with it’s partners of the Reuters Institute of Journalism, the Oxford Climate Journalism Network at Oxford University and Deutsch Wella news service will organize training seminars and capacity building program to groom young talented climate change reporters including those living with Disabilities.

Going beyond news room reporting, WEJACC will go beyond to tree planting, the promotion of tree planting, waste recycling and proper management, nature protection and the recognition of actors in the field through cash prize Award.

That is why in this maiden Edition, we have started by projecting and recognizing Tubah council who have since set the pace through their selfless services to nature and have contributed enormously to combat climate change through waste management and recycling, above all excessive tree planting.

Going about the above literature, you can name all but the truth is that WORLD ECHOES JOURNAL AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE has been Given birth to and time for action is now. “it is a war we must all win”.
