The Cameroon
legal mind with over 30 years of working experience and exercising in the law, picked
the ticket in flying colors and remarkable distinction in Italy from one of the
world’s most prestigious university of law.
Justice Mukete who doubles
as founder of the Refugee Welfare Association Cameroon (REWAC) last week,
wears an academic rob on his legal jacket thanks to his dying quest for knowledge.
The North West legal house
hold name, this Reporter must emphasize has for years proven his worth and ability
in the exercise of the law wherever he was called or appointed to serve.
Today his legal garment
takes on another tag name Justice Dr. Mukete Tahle Itoe celebrated by the North
West Judicial family. Thanks to the major strides made, acquired and defended before a plenary of Selinus Professors in Italy.
Justice Mukete Tahle
Itoe briefly, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with Honors from the
University of Yaounde, Cameroon in the year 1989, and a Post-Graduate Diploma
(Maitrise) in Law from the same University in 1990. In that same year, Judge
Mukete entered the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in
Yaounde, Cameroon, where he graduated in 1992 with a Higher Diploma in
Magistracy. He also received relevant advanced training, and has attended
many practical certified international courses in development, gender,
the rule of law, climate change, human rights, governance, migration and
leadership at the UN Human Rights Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, the
International Institute of Human Rights (IIHR) in Strasbourg, France, the
Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam at
Hague, the Netherlands, the International Development Law Organization (IDLO)
in Rome, Italy, the International Centre for Human Rights Education (EQUITAS)
in Montreal, Canada, the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) at the University of
Oxford, Oxford, UK, and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIHL)
in Sanremo, Italy, amongst others.
