Sixteen (16) Elements of the Bamenda Central Prisons and the Regional Delegation of Penitentiary Knighted

These uniform officers in different rank and files, received their epaulets at the Bamenda Central Prisons Esplanade on Wednesday the 14th of December 2022 in a highly officiated military ceremony that saw the registered presence of high government officials in the Region.

The epaulet awards  ceremony was in recognition of loyalty, devotion, dedication and  selfless services to the state and the Ministry.

This occasion, it must be noted, comes eleven months after the last epaulet awards that took place at the same esplanade under the supreme leadership of late General Kiga.





The symbolic epaulet awards ceremony, is a routine state exercise carried out, or conducted based on appointments done by the Ministry to reward and award elements of the corps for their astute services to the nation.

This year’s epaulet award ceremony in Bamenda was conducted and officiated under the supreme command of Senior superintendent of Prison Ayuke Bernard Agbor, interim Regional Delegate of Penitentiary for the North West, clad by his immediate collaborators, and all the constituted corps in the Region.


Amongst the celebrants or laureates of the day, was one Senior superintendent of Prisons, Bokoua Ehab Marie Gisele Annette,  one Senior Prison chief wardress, Fokunang Andin Shirley, three major prison chief warders, Fon Moses Asah, Foncha Clovis, Music Quenta , eleven senior prison warders and wardresses, Juliet Moye Kinga, Nuganga Ernest Tangham, Tsafack Nanfack Ulrich, Ntoh Eric Ayeah, Ntoku Jean Marie Nyifeseye, Nkenki Agnes Chaikfua, Njei Calistaa Undum, Agbor Dorothy Bechem, Engwari Martina Tembei, Liange Hans Efome, Buma Valentine Ndansi making a total of sixteen elements of the Bamenda central Prison and the Regional Delegation of Penitentiary who received epaulets.

The colorful ceremony following routine rites and military honors, ended with march pass, award of flowers and merry making.






The Regional Delegate of Penitentiary, Ayuke Benard on his part talking to the press at the closure of ceremony, thanked the honorable Minister for honoring his engagement and for the timely honor of recognition to some elements. To the laureates of the day, he congratulated and request of them to be more loyal to the state and institutions in place. To be duty conscious and devoted at work.
