Gov’t Step up Relief Distribution Plan to IDPs in NW,SW

FOR THE past three years, North West and South has been witnessing socio political crisis which has grounded the economy and has caused the massive displacement of persons. Faced by the situation an 18 month relief plan was initiated by the head of State President Paul Biya worth 12.7 billion placed under the coordination of MINAT Boss Atanji Paul.
 
The goal of the humanitarian relief fund is to help and protect internally displaced persons in the two restive regions of Cameroon. It is within this frame work that the MINAT Boss has continuously deployed consignment of relief materials to victims of the crisis.
In the exercise, on the 13 of June 2019 a consignment of 55 trucks left Yaounde and Douala for the two regions appreciated by the head of the European Union Hans Peter who praised the putting in place of a coordination centre to handle the package.
Going by MINAT Boss, an estimated 70000 persons are expected to benefit from the June 13 Consignments with over 100000 haven’t already benefitted from previous humanitarian assistance.
