It is a tradition and an instituted culture or better still
attitude of the Mayor of Tubah Council who loves to share in the woes and the
misery of physically challenged persons as he sees that as a source of blessing
while looking for all adequate means to create an all inclusive society for
them.
This humanitarian and charitable action chains from his
childhood actions and came up to the lime light in the early days of the 2013
Municipal and Legislative elections in Cameroon where he fought strongly for an
all inclusive list of municipal councilors for election, which saw the light of
day and because of him a gender based, and physically challenged all inclusive
list of councilors was installed as councilors of the vibrant council of Tubah
today.
The Mayor in his relentless torch to human lives most
especially that of the disable, most often eat, dine and wine with lepers of
the Mbingo Baptists Hospital who now call him father of all lepers.
In a recent outing early this June 2019 away from the usual
rehabilitation of roads, health facilities, supplies, the Lord may choose again
in the Municipality to affect the lives of those he describe as his forsaken
brothers who have a lot to offer to the community but are most often a time
despised.
This time he dolled out to them enabling gadgets and material
to the tune of over 5million francs to better their movements and sustain
livelihood activities. Speaking to the press after the ceremony, the Mayor Tanjong
Martin observed that, there is no better way to pay back to God than to help
the needy and that he looks forwards fight with all his strength in the little
corner where he is to create an all inclusive society that will be comfortable
for the physically challenged.” God being his helper.
