The
call for awakening against global crisis, down to global warming and the fight
against climate change has suddenly and gradually gained momentum in the past
years.
The
year 2022 takes the crusade or campaign to another level and frequency thanks
to a global Media initiative put up by the Oxford Climate Journalism network
team of experts who have voluntarily taken up themselves to regroup World class
media practitioners in and around a global platform to source and brainstorm on
leading media actions and policies to speed up public awareness on or against
climate change.
The
assembly or battery of media change bringers or chained actors to combat
climate change through evolved media approaches or concepts shall, in the year
2022 be setting standards, policies and principles to strengthen world media advocacy
programs against climate change.
The whole exercise headed by, Caithlin Mercer, Associate Director, Fellowship programs at RISJ and Eduardo Suarez head of editorial, RISJ, one of the world’s most finest Journalists, will through out 2022 be coordinating and mobilizing media efforts of carefully selected media practitioners around the world to change the approach and speed up actions and efforts towards the fight against climate change.
Caithlin Mercer
As I
report, the Network of media gurus carefully selected are all on a platforms
where familiarization is already on going and their varied experiences in their
different countries are been shared.
The
common “flayor” or phenomenon as the French man calls it, from all indication and
with this global Media Movement, there are hopes that lasting solutions will be
arrived at the end of 2022. Better still,
practical media ways to combat climate change through newsroom reporting,
advocacy and activism.
Host
ground of the year long media come together will be Reuters institute for the
study of Journalism, University of Oxford.
Hear founder of the program “The mission of
the Oxford Climate Journalism Network is to help journalists, editors, and
media executives across the world develop their coverage of climate change, and
support newsroom leaders in identifying and addressing the range of
operational, cultural and ethical issues that can be involved in expanding
their coverage of this issue".
"The network provides
members with a series of knowledge sessions with world-leading experts,
professional forums and working groups, introductions to relevant scientists
