Shame business rivals over false alarm to discredit Kendely
Kendely construction based in Bamenda, the Regional
headquarters of North West Region, stole the show at the cooperative credit
union league Ltd, Camccul, 47th annual General meeting, AGM, last
Saturday, June 27, 2015.
During the meeting
which was attended by hundreds of CamCCul delegates drawn from the entire
country, Northwest governor, members of government and a cross section of the
Delegates, took turns to congratulate Kendely for the construction of the
beautiful CamCCul Head office Building along the Bamenda commercial Avenue.
The sectary General at the North West Governor’s office, Absalom
Monono, who represented North West Governor, Adolf Lele L’Afrique, rated
Kendely as one of the leading construction companies in the country. He
stressed that the CAMCCUl head office building at commercial avenue Bamenda
constructed by Kendely construction is a pride of Bamenda and North West Region
as a whole.
He said the building is symbolising
the power and financial strength of CAMCCUL, reason why for more than 47 years,
credit Unions affiliated to CamCCul have been contributing in immeasurable
terms to the Socio economic development of Cameroon and the impact of Credit
Union movement in capital mobilization, poverty alleviation and improved living
standards of the people of the North West Region in particular and the Nation
in General can not be over emphasized.
Shaming
some North West rumour mongers who spread false rumour that the CAMCCUL head
office building at Commercial Avenue was collapsing, the Governor’s
representative warned the rumour mongers stressing that measures were being put
in place to check the enemies of progress.
In the same light, CAMCCUL president,
Musa Shey Nfor, in congratulating Kendely construction for the landmark
achievement in constructing the building, equally shamed the forces behind the
false rumour calling them “Rumour Harrams” who created panic among the population
of the North West Region over the false alarm that the building was collapsing.
Like
the Camccul President and Governor’s representative, the representatives of
MINEPAT, and MINFI including the government Delegate to the Bamenda City
Council equally doffed their hats to Kendely Construction for a job well done.
While
lashing out at those behind the false alarm, they pledged their total support
to CAMCCUL and credit unions officiated to CAMCCUL.
Harping on the CAMCCUL tower building,
the CAMCCUL general manager, tienchou Jonas who described Kendely construction as
one of Cameroon’s best leading building construction companies, said the
Kendely constructed CAMCCUL head office in Bamenda has proven the company’s
prowess. He said the building has made
Camccul and credit Unions affiliated to Camccul including North West Region and
Bamenda in particular where the building is found especially as the building
has given the city of Bamenda a new face lift.
One
person who was visibly elated was the Bamenda Police Cooperative Credit Union
(BAPCCUL) manager, Ngum Godlove who rated the building, the best in the
country. He said such a building in Australia can only be constructed by the
government.
According to Ngum Godlove, the tiles of the
building are all marble.
The CAMCCUL tower head office building
at commercial avenue was officially put to use last Saturday, June 27,2015
after some detractors of progress spread false rumour that the building was
collapsing. This wild rumour pushed Northwest Governor, Adolf Lele lafrique, to
commission a team of certified engineers and architects drawn from various
regional services under the supervision of the secretary general of the
Northwest Governor’s office, Monon Absalom Woloa to carryout a thorough
inspection of the building.
The team which was made up of
engineers, experts from the Northwest, town planning and urban development,
regional delegate of national security, experts from the Bammenda city council,
the landlords of the said CAMCCUL head office building notably, Pa Allo and the
SDF national chairman Ni John Fru Ndi’s son, Grand councillor Ben Fru Ndi and
the Kendely construction company engineers.
The landlords dismissed the
allegations as baseless rumour
fabricated by some business rivals competing with the giant Kendely
construction company. Ben Fru Ndi who represented his father, Ni John Fru Ndi,
said if they noted any thing wrong with the building, as neighbours, they would
have contacted Kendely construction and CAMCCUL. He lashed out at rumour mongers
who are out to run rivals down and using the father’s name. Hear him; “it’s
very true that the enemy to a Northwest man is another Northwest man. If there
is something like this building collapsing, my father wouldn’t have gone to the
farm. He would have been here in person” He noted, lashing out at “pull-him-down
syndrome” which characterises the people of the Northwest region.
Above all, the crack team of
investigators who inspected the building left satisfied with the job well done
on the building by the Kendely construction company as they saw nothing risky
about the building. This explains why last Saturday June 27, 2015. CAMCCUL AGM,
Absalom Monono who represented Northwest Governor, declared interalia that the
building was very fit to be used without any fear. He shamed the rumour mongers
who spread such a wild and false rumour causing panic across the region.
