NTOKO braved all odds to meet Lawyers of North West extraction or Jurisdiction.
That
was on Friday the 27th of May 2022 at Up Station in the conference hall
of club 58 Bamenda.
Bamenda
happens to be their fourth stop since they began their campaigns and the exercise
will continue nation wide until the “D” day, that is June 18th.
TEAM
NTOKO dubbed the “Hurricanes”, well constituted and Inclusive, is made up of viyant,
renown and very reputable lawyers to name; Nsang George Ndang Bamenda,
Barrister Bayi Noutossi from Kribi, shemo Gerard from Mongo, Fouse Dominique Douala,
Nkule Getrude Douala, Barrister Mboko Divine, Tassa Andre West, Dr Pienjou,
Barrester Ben Suh Nfor, Nkea Anembom Emmanuel, Peter Nkea Emmanuel to name etc.
At the
crowd pulling occasion which saw the presence of some if not all renown and big
lawyers of the North West, each runner in the team took rounds and the message was
one and unique make the Cameroon Bar Great again and more vibrant. While sharing
and accomplishing their great vision which is, Justice, independence, leadership
and service.
The team
head, Barrister Ebah Ntoko Justice a no nonsense lawyer, founder of Justice Law
firm Mutengene cum former President of FAKLA, in addition offered to the crowd of
lawyers gathered with all humility and sincerity the great intention of his team
to revamp and revive the Cameroon Bar to suit the collective interest of lawyers.
He laid precision on the violation of lawyers rights and the need for their security.
Not leaving out the absolute need for an insurance scheme to take care of the social
welfare of lawyers plus a school to train lawyers.
Coming
in, after all the elaborate and exhaustive campaign speeches from Team Ntoko, great
legal minds in the North West in the likes of Barrister Amaazee Anthony, former
member of the Bar, took the floor and showered noble blessings of the land onto
the great team, giving to them all his blessings, promising them the unalloyed and
unflinching support of North West Lawyers.
In all,
according to Team Ntoko their working policy will be, to preserve the
integrity, independence, Ethic, service and excellence of the Bar. Support
Barristers in the conduct of their profession. Support Barristers in the
conduct of their practice, reinforce unity in the Bar Association.
Talking
to the Press immediately after, Barrister Ntoko outlined a series of projects and
programs that will reform and shape the Cameroon Bar to become more vibrant, dynamic
and reliable to Lawyers. All lofty ideas according to him will be realized collectively
such that no lawyers is left out of the moving train.
Barrister Fouse Dominique from Former Bar Assembly President
Coming
to Barrister Fouse Dominique, a seasoned Barrister at law based in Douala who happens
to be one time Bar assembly President, she exhorted lawyers of the North West to
see progress and greatness in Team Ntoko, that they are coming in to completely
change the Bar, the life style of Lawyers, legal practices in the country and above
all the dignity and status of Lawyers.
Dr. Pienjou
a seasoned legal mind and lecturer pressed in the fact that law should not be a
single or dual routine, but it must be diversified. In other words, Team Ntoko is
coming into the Cameroon Bar to make diversity a practice in the corps and to cause
lawyers to explore new avenues, like international law, conciliation, mediation,
broking and signing sports contract etc.
Most celebrated Barrister Bayi Noutossi Aicfadip from Kribi
Most celebrated Barrister Biyern from Kribi finally speaking to the press admitted that there was absolute need for the phase of the Cameroon Bar to be changed to meet the needs of changing times. Which is what they have to offer to lawyers of this generation and posterity. As a seasoned legal mind, he said they are not partisan to wrong legal practices all they want this time is to be given the unique opportunity to rebrand legal practices in Cameroon, modernize it and why not make legal practices go digital.
