That
was on the 7th of May 2016 at Mount Febe Hotel in Yaounde in the
night gala ending activities on the occasion of the celebration of the 33rd
day of Prize African Award for Excellence to distinguished African
Institutions, individuals and establishments dubbed, “Journe de L’Excellence
Africaine”.
This
another mark of favor to the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM)
of the University of Bamenda under the able leadership of the Director Prof.
John Ebai Egbe, comes barely eleven months after the Same institution and the
Director in question was honoured by the Cameroon
Media under the Tutelage of World Echoes Newspaper as Best professional training institution and Best University Director of the Year respectively.
This
distinguished mark of favor and honour comes from a collection of data analysis
and sampled survey carried out by a specialized commission and jury that in the
end amongst other higher academic institutions of learning had to recognize the
school for its committed and dedicated service to the nation.
The
land mark ceremony that played host at mount Febe Hotel under the distinguished
patronage of the Head of State President Paul Biya represented by his Special
adviser Number 1 regrouped Ministers, directors, intellectuals around Africa
coordinated by Dr Jethro Diderot Bochac president of the Jury and Yboun Ngaye
Award committee chairman.
Three
big institutions were recognized in Cameroon; the Higher Institute of Commerce
and Management (HICM) of the University of Bamenda, Yaounde I University, the
School of Agriculture of the University of Dschang (FASA), the school of post
and telecommunication and the Ministry of transport as best run and managed
ministry in Cameroon.
The
all African Award for excellence in its 33rd edition chose Cameroon
as it venue for its annual rendezvous because of the peace and advanced
democracy reigning in the country. Next year’s rendezvous is scheduled to take
place in Gabon to be patronized by its illustrious head of state.
