The Made in Camer Fair Trade Plant which is the Cooperate social responsibility of the VIRTUES Group LLC was born out of the growing popularity of the Kibonen NY Fashion brand name in the world of show biz and fashion design, that gave her room to be privileged amongst those to exhibit at one of the world’s biggest festival in the US known as Essence Musical Festival that celebrates African-American culture and music in its 25th anniversary from June 30th to July 3rd 2016.
Due to the pressing need to produce about 10000 quality fabrics in a months time to be exported for the US Essence Musical Festival show, and about a 1000 orders or commands in two days, a Fashion and Design industry plant had to be given birth to in Bamenda under the taking care business of Fichian F.NFI Production Manager, Nfor Florence Head of Seamstress, Achidi Achu Janet Job Councilor NEF, Marceline Natang Job Councilor NEF and Gwendoline Fongu communication Officer to recruit and train already established tailors in the quality production exercise and to gainfully pay them in order to meet the exigencies.
The revelation was made known and disclosed to the Cameroonian public in Bamenda in a press conference that played host at the Ayaba Hotel Conference hall before the Media on the 17th of May 2016.
Kibonen Nfi chief host and founder of the Made in Camer Faire Trade Production plant in the three (3) hours exchange with the Press sounding very optimistic, said “we are an entity with a rich cultural and artistic values that can march all other world standards, but some where along the line we are lacking, Cameroon need to belong in the world of Fashion and design, which is why we are starting a production plant. Skills and qualities of already established tailors have to be improved so that their products can march world standards; they have to be gainfully paid for their works. Cameroon Fabric has to march the standards and qualities of others in the world market”. Speaking further she admitted that the venture which is one of the cooperate social responsibility of the VIRTUES Group LLC, warrants her to give in her best for the interest of her Nation Cameroon in the World of Fabrics, fashion and design.
